Odd Question about Personal Grooming

Odd Question about Personal Grooming

This is a little embarrasing, but who better to ask than other females.

Sometimes I get a shadow under my arms after shaving. Sometimes I don't. But mostly do . It's weird. Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations for my wedding day? Nothing grosser than seeing a shadow under your arms!

Sorry if this was way off base to post. I didn't know who else to ask or who else this happens to.

Just get your armpits waxed
I have had it done before it hurts but looks good!

Waxed, huh? I was hoping no one would say that

But, your probably right. The only problem is how long is the growth? Also, will I rash? Did you?

I get that too. I'm afraid to wax, but I saw a girl at the salon get it done & it looked so smooth.

I think its helps to exfoliate before shaving.

Don't go for your first waxing a day before your wedding! Test it out several weeks or months before.
My best advice for a clean underarm shave is to use a brand new razor each time and wait until there is a little bit of growth. I've found that the more often I shave the more I get that shadowy look.

No I had good success with it!
I have also used my epilator which I got a ULTA and doesn't require alot of growth and rips the hair out fast...this way you are doing it yourself at your own speed...you may want to try that...it's a good investment - I use it for touchups between waxing appts...

Not to scare anyone, but didn't Julia Roberts get an infection from waxing her underarms and then she couldn't remove her underarm hair for a while? I remember seeing her at some awards show with hairy armpits a few years ago...

Try using Nair. Test it a few weeks (at least) before the wedding, to make sure you like how it works and you don't get reactions to it. I've used it on my legs with no problems.

My cousin and I also had that same type of problem. Only it was caused by the deodorant we used (2 different brands). Now we both use Sure and no more shadows.
