Odd question regarding TP

where would one go buy a toilet paper roll expandable peg thingy? the thing that you put through the toilet paper so it rolls?

FH was cleaning and threw it out by accident (***?), do hardware stores carry these things or do I have to go to a Bed, Bath and Beyond type place?

help?

Drugstores, K-Mart, Walmart, Target, hardware stores...most of them carry those.

Every once in a while, when I have to change the toilet paper in the middle of the night (guess why? ), I throw the holder out and try to put the new roll on the cardboard from the old roll...and then have to fish it out of the garbage.
