What do you guys think for the bridal party processional. I have trumpets and an organ player, a short aisle, three girls and then me coming down to Pachalbel Canon. Ave Maria or Ode to Joy?

Since I also couldn't decide, I had Ave Maria for our moms' trip down the aisle, Ode To Joy for the bridal party, and Canon in D for me.

I am having my girls walk in to Ave Maria. I will have Ode to Joy for my FI's parents. My mom is walking me down the aisle. I still cannot decide on a song for us to walk in on. I did not want here comes the bride, but that might have to be it

I find the Ava Maria a very sad song- but that is just me. I think it is also a very 'heavy' song. I like Ode to Joy for your walk down the aisle better. Have the Ava Maria sung while lighting your Unity Candle or Communion.

well I am definitely walking down to pachalbel's canon in d. I am just deliberating on what my girls walk down to before me. But I never realized the moms walk to music also?!?! Somebody fill me in on the standard. Like does everybody be seated and then the grandmothers come down first? Do they get music? And then the mom's? But who walks my mom down if my dad is walking me? My FH brother can walk his mom down but we dont' have any boys....just an usher? Help!

I agree about Ave being a heavy song, it ALWAYS makes me cry - Don't get me wrong though, it's beautiful. I don't even know Ode to Joy or Canon (can you believe?) but I am going to have Ave at a later point in the ceremony and one of the others to walk in to.

www.kazaa.com lets you download songs for free, like Napster. Amazon sells CDs of bridal music as well.

take a look at kingsbrass.com - they have audio downloads, - they are trumpeters, but you can get the idea. royalbrass.com has some as well.

I agree w/Michele31...
Ave Maria is an extremely powerful, moving song and it might be better saved for another part of your ceremony. I am thinking of having it played during the unity candle lighting. I hope I could help!
