# of days you and your fiance/hubby have spent apart?

My FH is in Atlanta for a volleyball tournament and it's been 8 days! I can't wait for him to come home tomorrow. The first few days were ok, but now I'm lonely and bored.

Does anyone else have issues with this? Is there anything you do to make yourself feel better? I may have to crack open some vino tonight.

haha i have to say i have everyone beat.

Fh has been away from me since we started dating almost 4 yrs ago. He is in the military and has been either in South Carolina, Maryland, San Diego, Japan and now Iraq.

The longest we have been apart was 6 months before we saw each other again but since he has been in japan and Iraq it has been the longest- it has been 2 1/2 months already and i have another 7 months

We've spent about a total of 1 week apart in the 3 years we've been together. Mainly because of over-night field trips with our schools that we had to go on. When we first started dating though, we wouldn't see each other everyday except for at work (at that time we worked in the same school). I'd spend a lot more time with my friends without him. I miss that sometimes (girl nights), but he's been better about giving me my space with my friends. He's just so clingy sometimes!

we dated for 19 months back in 2003 and 2004 and then broke up
over his fear of commitment

We were apart for 2 YEARS but we stayed friends. One night I was coming out of 'phantom of the opera' and there he was, waiting for me to come out so 'he could walk me to my car' . Naturally we got back together.

Now, we're never apart. He moved in recently and now I can't sleep if he's not here with me.

I'm the same way! Last night FH had his bachelor party and didn't get home till 6am (they missed the last train). I woke up every hour until he got into bed next to me. When I went on an overnight field trip this year I had to take TylenolPM just so I could get some sleep since he wasn't there next to me.
