# of guests wanted vs. # you are at so far....

I originally wanted a tiny wedding....I'm talking 100 people. Then when we went to the RH, we guaranteed 135 and I was like that's big enough. We aren't even done officially with our list and we are at 178....where did all these people come from? lmao

How about you ladies..when you FIRST started planning, what was that magical number you threw around and where are you at so far?

We figured on around 125-150 people...
we're inviting a little over 170...
so hopefully we'll be at 135 and be right where we wanted...

I never really had a magical number b/c i knew that FH and I both come from big families.... so my # was always big and is still big!!!

we idealy wanted about 100- but when we started our list we knew it wouldnt happen. we had to guarentee 150 and we invited about 175 and our final count is actually 148!!! couldnt get closer then that if we tried!

haha- we wanted a destination wedding. my parents said 'no dice' so we guranteed 230. I think our list is over 280 and it's not nearly done!!

I've always wanted a big wedding, and when I started I wanted around 250...right now i'm between 250 and 300..

we thought we'd have around 70 people, 80 the absolute most. we ended up inviting 117, and from what we gather so far, about 100-105 will be coming. i was hoping no more than 90 would say yes.

Well at first we also said 100-125 ppl NO MORE!!..when we started to look around at the RH that we really wanted and saw that their minimums were so high, we ended up booking with a min of 175, and we're inviting over 200 lol totally not where we wanted to be, but we're over it now. Its going to be great!

when we first planned we guestimated around 175 then sat down and came up with 235 we cut the list to 200 we have to guarantee 185 and thats all im hoping for

We guaranteed 80, hoped for 80, invited 130'something & our current number is 75 (including children).

We figured (since FH has a large family on his father's side) that the 'magic' number would be about 125- which is our guarantee to Russo's.

We've sent out 105 invitations (most are couples so atm it's 210 people roughly) and we're hoping not to exceed 150- 175 people.

I'm not sure where we got all these people!!

Our minimum is 175. I really don't want more than 180 but FH says we'll be closer to 200.

I feel the same way! i only wanted around 120-135 (our limit is 120)..were at 182!

we always wanted a very small wedding of 50 or so at my college waterfront chapel w/ a reception at the local restaurant.

....then my parents came in. We compromised at 130 and our minimum is 120. Our list is now at 163 We're hoping for 130 at most.

..guess I have no choice when my mom is one of 10, and my dad knows the entire caribbean community of NYC

i am right where I wanted to be. Our room holds 156, we have a minimum of 120 I think (maybe 110?) and so far the list is at 140. Once FH's parents see it, we'll be right to 156 I think, but I think 135 would be perfect.

Our list has not really grown, since we made it, we are at about 185 people to invite.
With the yes/no ratio I am expecting 125-145

We wanted 100 - 125, invited approx 150 (we gave everyone a guest), we are at about 85 so far. But a lot of people are not coming with guests and spouses, which we find a little strange.
