Off the wedding topic.....

HI!! So this is wayyyyyyyy off the WEDDING topic but I wanted to get some suggestions from you ladies who live in Nassau County.

My Birthday is coming up and its tradition that all the girls go to dinner and then meet up with the boys. Well we have been going to El Mariachi in RVC for about 5-6 years traditionally for each and every one of our birthdays. LOVE the place but I wanted to go someplace else this year for mine....little change of sceenery =)

Anyway, any suggestions would help! Fun atmosphere and close to home....near rvc, lynbrook, valley stream, merrick areas =) I love food so any kind is good!!!

Thanks in Advance!!!

Do you want something like classy & upbeat or something kind of kitschy?

There's a cute old fashioned ice cream parlor in Valley Stream on Rockaway Avenue called Itgens.

The ice cream is amazing! (Homemade whipped cream!)

The food is cute.

If you decide to go there though, just be warned- they do NOT take credit cards.

Not quite near RVC, Lynbrook, VS, but the Melting Pot in Farmingdale is wonderful and definitely a change of scenery.

There's also Inatome in VS off of Rockaway Avenue. It's a Japanese Hibachi.

Broadway Beanery in Lynbrook is also fantastic. It's on Atlantic Avenue.

Shackleton's in Franklin Square is good too. It's an upscale pub type place on Hempstead Turnpike.

Lol, I'm in the same boat, my 25th birthday is tomorrow and I posted here last week asking for dessert bars.

We decided to go to the melting pot for dessert then to wasabi for drinks and karaoke.

What exactly are you looking to do?

Cabo in RVC

I was also going to mention Cabo.

Or...

Blue Moon in RVC. I love their pizza...and they have other Italian food.

Viva Loca in Merrick or Bellmore (I forget which town). Very fun place...and a choice of italian or mexican

Gabrielle's in RVC -- excellent food

Ciao Baby (MAssapequa) -- family style and huge portions and great drinks
