We went to a wedding at Fox Hollow. Fox Hollow was wonderful. The outdoor CH was beautiful (though the smaller room they'd use indoors is also very pretty) and the food was great. FH can have two affairs simultaneously, I think.
I had wanted to see Crest Hollow for our reception. liked the RH rooms , but didn't like the fact that there would be several affairs going on at once. (When we were visiting, there were three bar mitzvahs and a wedding all going on at the same time. That was too much IMO).
Hapy RH hunting!

Hey there
Wow you have a lt of choices. I personally dont think that you can go wrong chosing a Scotto Brothers establishment. They are really good at their catering and have been in the business so long.
WATERMILL you can rent your centerpieces. I love that idea. They also can make your invites and have so many different favors that they sell also.
The other Scotto Bro. places dont have all that stuff and I was hoping that they did.
I love the Westbury Manor. FH is cheap so if you are going for price you are safe there. I just feel in love with the non wedding hall look when I walked into WM.
I can only wish you luck. The places that LI offers in RH's are beautiful. Such hard decisions.

The other scotto bros. you can have the in house florist do you flowers and you can pick out invites and favors etc.. they have a whole planning department caled perfect wedding planner.
Out of those 4 places, the only one I've ever been to was Fox Hollow, so I don't have an objective opinion. But I wanted to say that the wedding at Fox Hollow was one of my favorite weddings I've ever been to. The cocktail hour was out of this world - I couldn't believe how much food there was. I don't remember which room the reception was in, but it was gorgeous, and my pics from the wedding are some of the favorite ones I have of me and my friends.
I'm happy you found 2 places you like! It took me a few weeks of looking to even find one I liked. Good luck with the rest of your search!

I went to look at both of those halls, Fox Hollow I thought was really nice, but it had a very distinct look to it that FH and I didn't feel was our style, otherwise we thought it was great. I was really excited to see CHCC because I had heard a few raves from people who had been to weddings there, but I had a bad experience there. They kept us waiting for 45 minutes, our salesperson was sooo pushy and 'sales-y'. We went on a weekend afternoon and there were so many events going on, the lobby reminded me of a hotel lobby, there were so many people going in so many directions, but I'm sure for the more formal nighttime events they stagger them much better.

The Watermill is very nice, but I recommend you get your invites elsewhere. One of my cousins got married there and also got her invites from them, she was quite unhapy with them. They are overpriced and you can get similiar invites elsewhere for less. Otherwise the place was beautiful and the service great.
I have also been to weddings at CHCC, Fox Hollow, Woodbury CC, and the Watermill. Fox Hollow & Woodbury CC (in fact visited both today for my sister's wedding this summer) are very nice. As for CHCC, I have been to quite a few weddings and it is very nice, my biggest complaint is that every time we not only saw other weddings, but could hear them as well.
Best of luck!

im actually not set on a date - my possible ones are 1/19/08 1/20/08 2/16/08 2/17/08
I have a question for you that I asked about a month ago. I am wondering when spring break is next year. Easter is in March so will we get a full week then? i am hoping to take the thursday and friday off before and that whole week to go on my honeymoon. I know that NYC and ES BOCES have different calendars but not by that much.
Is February break as long as Eater break for you...because we use our snowdays or take them in Easter.

I havent tallked or met with them yet but I definitely want to. I have already booked my own photographer but maybe they can help me with all the rest of the stuff. Its just that they are located in WESTBURY right? I am in sayville so it isnt a short trip for me.
THanks for the reminder though. Are you using them? I keep asking around but no one really knew about the service.

There were a few things i wasnt crazy about
1 - We didnt get to see the upstairs room because there was a party going on
2 - Since im having the ceremony at RH too, it was very scattered at WCC - up and down a lot of stairs (other places were in different rooms, but on same level or 2 levels - not 3)
3 - There were fruit flies all over the tray of 'treats' they brought out to us
Again, JMO - the guy that worked with us was great though and i feel bad not giving him my business - he was really wonderful!!!
