OK so i went with mom and dad
We looked at 4 places in 4 hours

Crest Hollow
Fox Hollow
North Ritz Club
Woodbury Country Club

We have narrowed it down to 2 and will go to some others next weekend

Prices were really good for Jan / Feb - NRC was still a little much b/c nothing is included and have to pay extra pp for a lot so ........................

we took home the menus to compare FH and CHCC

Any opinions???

i only loooked at Crest hollow and Fox hollow and if i had to choose from those 2 i would have chosen Fox Hollow!!!!

See I am the opposite I would have totally chosen CH over FH because you have a lot more to choose from at CH. More rooms, bigger grounds, and you never notice Jericho Tpke like you do at the FH.

I guess you're asking me. First of all, I liked my sales person better at the CH. He was more personable and didnt act like he needed a 'sale' even though he did 'throw-in' extras during our first visit (I wasn't even with my FH!) The reason I didnt pick CH was because I didnt like the fact that you dont know which room is your CH room until like 1-2 weeks before your event. I thought that was strange! Otherwise, I just didnt get a good feeling about the FH. I have heard great things about both places, I just felt a lot better about CH (even though I didnt book there) Good luck though. They are REALLY negotiable, I didnt even try and I got everything.

During the reception you won't notice it. I didn't think it was bad at all. I didn't visit CH.

That's so strange because I knew from day 1 which CH room I'm in and it's written on my contract!! Who was your BM? If I didn't know which room I'd get I'd be upset too. RIght now I'm booked for the Lantern Gallery for my ceremony but I can change it to outdoors if I want. But not telling you what CH room you are getting is crazy! I'm in the Rose Hunt which has a baby grand piano which makes a difference because now I can hire a pianist. That stinks you had a bad experience!!

Melanie, you are at Fox Hollow right??
They told me the rooms - I understand why crest hollow does it, and they did it 9 years ago when my sister got married there too

they have 4 rooms, that they use for everything so if someone wants a particular room for their ceremony, which is going on at the time of your coctail hour , then you cant use that particular room

im more concerned with the reception room - all the rooms are nice, big and enough seating for everyone during CH so that didnt really bother me

i like both, just both have pros and cons and im not sure what to do

I'm not really planning on too many ouside photos since i'm looking at Jan or Feb
if it was this year, great but who knows if it will be this mild

i really like both places, but im going looking some more next weekend

Chateau Briand is owned by Scotto Bros. so you still get use of perfect wedding planner and the planning services as Fox Hollow. I would imagine they are within the same price range. I haven't visited the others.

right, so is westbury manor - that is why they all give the 7 entree choices which i really like so i will go and check it out next week
