We are looking to get a dog and wanted to see if anyone selling a puppy that won't shed and will stay small. Also what shelters do you recommend us checking out

Im not selling mine, but we got a lhasa apso a few months back, she is a year old 12 lbs and doesnt shed... Was told they are hypoallergenic too =) Just thought I would give you a breed that describes what you were asking for.
As for shelters, the best dog I ever had was from northshore animal league... I have also heard good things about little shelter... I think its in northport/huntington area? but not possitive =) HTH !

check out petfinder.com there are tons of rescue organizations on there but you can search by breed and locate a rescue place that way.

North Shore Animal League is by far the best shelter you pretty much know the animal you are getting is healthy bc it is vet checked unlike other shelters in NY. Also look on petfinder.com if you are looking for a specific breed. Stay away from pugs, puggles and beagles they shed like CRAZY.
Please try to adopt rather than buy there are sooo many animals out there that need homes.

We got our 2nd dog from a rescue group in the city...they specialize in small dogs...
actually i just got off the phone with my friend who might be looking to give theirs away. its hard because they have a very large dog and they dont get along too well. its a poodle but hes not really a puppy anymore, about 5 or 6 years old i would say. let me know though if you are interested.
