Original post by loveisinbloom

I know this is off topic but please bear with me I am new at this trying to plan everything really just getting started I have this problem with my Fh ex I know they had this great relationship very exciting (you know what I mean ) I am worried does he tell her he is getting married or not do we invite her? we are very secure now and I think she is married also ( when they were together she was married to someone else ) and that is the reason their relationship ended since she was married he couldnt take it but I know he was madly in love with her at the time. so I guess I'm just curious do any of you worry about ex's ? I guess maybe I'm just getting nervous with all the stress of planning everything thanks in advance for reading this I know I am a silly girl

i really admire you ladies. I must be insecure or something because there is no way in he*l my FH's ex. would be invited to our wedding. She is in jail right now, so I don't think that it would be a possibility anyway. But...besides that...why would I want to even have to deal with that? I'm actually a little jealous at how confident and really nice some of you are about it.

dont be too jealous :):) trust me it gets me sometimes but like some of the others have said he is with me now and they are an 'ex' for a reason!! I just am one of those people that hate when you have a relationship and it ends people seem to forget about one another I feel that you were together for a reason you shared many things... you just dont just let that all go like that song ' someone I used to know ' people were in our lives at different times for different reasons.. so I know a few people have said that they would question someone that dated a married woman and you know I would agree but... he didnt know when he met her and stopped when he found out so how can I fault anyone for that .. I know I'm not perfect and have many things in my past that I would like to forget and I believe in starting fresh everything out in the open you all have given me so much good advice already so thank you it means so much I hope everyone has the wedding of their dreams !!! :):)

We are inviting FH's ex wife to our wedding. I get along very well with her, and they have children together who will obviously be in our wedding. HOWEVER, in your situation, it would be a cold day in H E L L before his ex would be invited to my wedding. Especially the circumstances involving their previous relationship. They did not have a moral relationship and there is no place for that at my wedding.

i'd just treat her as you'd treat any possible invite: have they talked in the last 6 months? are they good friends? the answer doesn't seem to be yes to either of those, so don't stress. and that has nothing to do with her being an ex. she shouldn't get special consideration.

DO NOT invite her, its your day, your husband, your wedding, why would you want to have his haunted past at the prescence of your future together, unless he really wants to invite her, than calmly explain to him, it would make you uncomfortable. but dont worry, and ex is an EX for a reason, he may have loved her, but your his future....

I would not invite her if it was me. It is your day and if you feel the tiniest bit uncomfortable about it then she should not be invited.

Considering the fact that she was married when she was with your FH before shows that she obviously does not respect marriage. Personally I would not want FH anywhere near her because I'd be worried about if she decided that she wants to fool around again. It's not like being married stopped her the first time. IMHO exes are in the past for a reason and they should be left there.
