i'm not diabetic- but VERY sugar conscious because 3 members of my family have type 2 diabetes (dad, uncle & grandma)

Hey, way to go, Linda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I was diagnosed in 1999. I remember coming home from the Dr., sitting in my old green chair, and crying my eyes out!! I was mad at myself for not being more careful to prevent it, and mad at my family genes!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm on Metformin twice daily.
My blood sugars are good, but I get sick of artificial sweetners causing diarrhea, and tasteless food!! I'd like to know what other diabetics eat!!! Mary MOB
Both my grandmother & mom have it, so I'm bound to have it, which is another reason why I want to get in shape!

Try to find foods with splenda it won't make u sick!
I am type 1 i've been sice i was 5, i just recently went a tubless insulin pump called the omnipod! and don't be mad at yourself, sometimes theres nothing you can do to prevent it!!!!! try www.diabeticfriendly.com
