Ok I figured to create the official Westbury Manor 2008 thread for all WM brides (and those who want to peak ) because wellllll we dont have one. I did found one but its from 2003 and its over 100 pages long. So come in and enjoy. HAPPY PLANNING
They're lower... like it's not your typical low CP... If you look on the Pedestals website in their gallery 2, theres a pic that I think is 5th from the bottom of a martini glass with flowers in it and around the bottom, that's my CP! I didn't want to go too high because of the lower ceilings and the cost... and I wanted something cute and different than a typical CP so when I saw that picture I thought it was perfect!
i just looked at the website- that centerpiece is gorgeous!! not your typically but i love it
Thanks so much!
They are beautiful and very colorful I love the colors!. I think withthe oval tables at WM you need something that is a narrow base, or very high. With the bulky flowers it takes up so much space which was a concern of mine. I think I am going to use the long glass rectanular flower box vases stuffed with red roses, with pedals and a votive on each end. I figured what is more beautiful then deep varaitions of red in january. I am glad to hear you had a good experience with Pedestals, better than mine.
Luvbsb4eva: How did your flower visit go? I am going to visit them on SUnday?
lol sorry I just noticed this post now! Pedestals was great! I met with Nadia and she went over everything with me, I had pictures of ideas that I had and she absolutely loved them... she kept saying I like you because I would be like I have a picture of what I like, lol... This is what I got:
My bouquet MOH bouquet 9 BM's bouquet basket for FG 1 toss bouquet Groom boutineer 10 gm boutineer boutineer for my dad, my 2 uncles, FFIL coursage for mom, my 2 grandmas, FH's 2 grandmas, FMIL, my 2 aunts and 1 cousin flowers for the house (railing of stairs and stoop outside, as well as a CP for the dining room at the house) Church: 12 pew arrangements, 6 on each side and skipping 2 or 3 pews b/w so it looks spread out, 2 alter arrangements, and 2 arrangements for during the mass (to present to blessed mother, etc.) Then RH: about 18 CP's... martini glass with flowers in them and around bottom (saw a pic of this on pedestals website in their gallery 2 and loved it!) as well as votive candles and rose petals on tables, rose petals on placecard table, and arrangement for mine and FH's table and the cake...
All of this came to a grand total of 4,000... I thought it would be worse considering how many bouquets I had! And Nadia seems great, I know my flowers will look beautiful! I am going to see a sample of everything the end of july since that's when all of my flowers will be in season! I can't wait!
what kind of flowers did you get?
My bouquet is lavender roses with stephanotis with jewels in the middle, and the bridesmaids/MOH will have a mixture of lavender roses, lavender sweet peas, and purple lisianthus and my throw bouquet flower girl will have a basket of lavender roses groom will have a lavender rose w/ stephanotis boutineer, and GM will have lavender rose boutineers, orchids for the rest of the boutineers and coursages, and i believe the arrangements in the church will match the bm bouquets and CP's as well as at my house... the CP's at the RH will be lavender roses, anna or pink roses to match the pink linens at the RH, purple lisianthus, another fusia colored flower... I can't read what it is, lol... I don't know a whole lot about flowers, but she showed me pictures of the flowers and they are beautiful!
Is Felicia the short lady? And does Mel have accent? I have Susan Bria, at first I was like I dont know about this lady, she really didnt show me around that much just the down stairs not the upstairs. Whatever I will see the whole place next Wednesday. THen I went back to book with her and I love her, she has sooo much energy, she is honest, nice, gave us a good price and she added the coco fountain for us last sec and the martini bar and we are working on the seafood boat, lolol and the candy bar, she is really good with negociating. SHe is great. Is the BM your matra'd the day of the wedding? NO right??
I believe the teeny tiny one is Erin Garcia. She's from Argentina and i SO love her...
so my friend cant decide between the manor room & garden room- the manor room she will only have if its a sun night & the garden room is sat night. what do u guys think about both rooms- i've seen them b4 & i think they are gorgeous
whos having a sunday night wedding? are you concerned that it ends at 11? she got the manor room on a sun eve for a great price
My wedding is on a Sun, if I had it on a Sat it would be almost 200 pp in JUne. I acutally like going to weddings on a Sunday night as oppose to a Sat night. My wedd ends at 12 but I want to add on another hour
