Just to let you girls know if you don't know already. If you were at the showcase and received a $25 off coupon for the resturant it expires on May1st so make sure you go and use it!!!
Yeah I got one at the showcase and I also got one when I booked. Can I combine them? If not I can go twice, lol. I think its closed on a Sunday? Right??
Yeah and check it cause I think ti said you can't use it on saturdays and holidays.

Noo I havent tried the food yet only the hordorves for the CH at the showcase which were YUM!!, this week I will go for sure. My mouth is wateringn now. I have heard many good things about the food at the restaurant
Can you girls tell me if you have received anything from the manor yet? I booked and have heard from no on not even their vendors.....do you know who the planners are they sent me something to set up an appointment but i can't remember who their cooridinators are...aslo their directional cards can you get them in white or do they come in that standard cream color...my invites are white and i would like them to match...thanks ladies!

YAYYYYY another WM bride, CONGRATS!!!. When did you book with them? Because a week later after I booked, my BM sent me a written letter thanking me for choosing them and then the vendor calls came in. Dont worry, WM is on top of things, you will be recieiving vendor calls soon. WM should have given you a list of their house vendors.
The letter they sent you should say the planning coordinators name. I forgot it. They will give you a call to follow up on your appoint.
I dont think they give a choice on color of direction cards, you may need to do them yourself, but it wont hurt to ask them.

Congrats on booking with WM!!! The direction cards and place cards do come in the cream color with burgundy writing. I drove myself crazy looking for invites that would match the direction cards! But I may just make my own placecards because I'm not crazy about theirs. It's been a while since I booked, but I'm pretty sure that when I did they gave me a folder with a list of their suggested vendors. If they forgot to give it to you, you could probably just call them and ask them to mail it to you. They also have bridal shows every few months or so that their vendors attend, although I haven't made it to any of them. Good luck with your planning!
My Bm was telling me that there is another Bridal Showcase in June. THis time they are going to put a cap on how many people brides can bring with them bec last showcase OMG, it was soooo packed bec everyone bought their WHOLE FAMILY there, but it was still beautiful and lots of fun

I went to WM's last showcase and the diff florists had displayed high CP's but they almost touched the ceiling, lol. I am in the Manor room. Both of the rooms have low ceilings. I am going to have high Cp's but mid-high. Low Cp's would def go also. Do a search on here for Cp's bec there are a couple of posts with the most beautiful Cp's
I booked three nights ago with Susan for 07/02/09. (Yep, an '09er is crashing the '08 board ) It's a Thursday night during the week of July 4. Originally I wanted January 16 but FH wanted a summer wedding. Susan offered a package I couldn't resist for the summer hence I'm officially booked & redoing my theme research.
The wedding planner they gave is SUPER helpful.
I received the vendor folder when I went to sign my contract. Currently the ceremony & CH are scheduled to be outside with the Hill Room & Executive Room (respectively) being the rain sites. Dinner in the Garden room. I chose WM because I'm having a small wedding (around 100 people), Susan was the BEST BM I met with out of 6 places & I love how the Garden room opens up to a patio.
Looking forward to attending the showcase in June. The invites should be going out very soon.
Random side note - does anyone else know about a wedding planner that the WBM gives you? I'm not talking about a book (although that would be pretty cool) but an actual person. I was telling a DJ about how much I wish someone else could plan all this for me and he said that yes, the WBM has a person (or people?) that will do all the planning for you. Is this true? (I guess I could always CALL them...LOL but why do that when I can ask all of you. LOL)
Luv, I am so glad you had a good visit and you got a great deal on your add-ons. I am going to make an appointment to meet with my BM and add on also. I cant wait. I def have to have the 3 fountains, I got the chocolate one for free so hopefully she will give me a good deal on the caramel and white coco, its sooo worth it. And I have to have the seafood boat. I want to go at the end of April so I can see how they have it set up for Spring.

They actually set up a complimentary first meeting with a wedding planner, I had recieved a letter in the mail from them. I met with them, and they really just go over where you should be with your planning... it was a pretty pointless meeting for me since I had already done basically everything they told me I should be doing, lol... but it's just the first meeting that's complimentary, and then after that you have to pay to use them! I forget their name... I think I posted about them earlier in this thread.

No, I don't think it's necessary at all... i'm not going to use them at all any more, i'm doing fine planning by myself!

CONGRATSSSSSSSSSSs, yeah another WM bride . I have seen the outside set up for a ceremony and its beautiful out there. I have seen pics from past brides, you may just want to do a search on here under Brides Review and you will see pics.
