Office pet peeve

So why is it when you're on the phone at work, phone is CLEARY AT YOUR EAR AND YOU ARE CLEARLY SPEAKING INTO IT, people come up to you and ask you something or start speaking to you!!
HELLO! RUDE!

just had to vent :)

This drives me nuts as well. I have actually closed my office door to take a call, and people have just opened up the door and walked in anyway - even though they can see me on the phone through the ginormous window.

I hate when I am on the phone and a co-worker comes in and just stands there waiting for me to get off. UGH - I hate people standing over me when I'm on the phone - GO AWAY

That's not even an office thing for me. FI does it all the time. He won't talk to me at all, but when I'm on the phone he want's to have full conversations. So annoying!!!

OMG!!!! I HATE that! A co-worker just did that to me a minute ago!!!

Or how about the scuzito bathrooms where the ladies can never correctly aim ANYTHING. There is always something that shouldn't be there on the floor, the seat, etc. I went into one the other day and a bloody tampon applicator was sitting on the seat! C'mon now!!!

Or how about the interior decorator in training who is doing decopague ala boogers on the walls of the stalls!!

drives me nuts. I am on the phone with insurance companies all day. They all have those annoying recordings, press 1 for this, press 45 for that. I wait on hold for hours and if you miss the prompts because some is TALKING they disconnect the call!!!!!!!!


I also hate reading over my shoulder, and using inter-office email to ask me to call you. Why in the holy heck don't you just CALL ME!!!!!!

I work with some much older people who talk to me like I'm stupid. Just because I'm not 80 doesn't mean you have to treat me like I'm 12!

someone goes in there every morning...into the 1st stall and smears the boggies on the wall....Sharon and I took notice to it while we were preggo and running in there to vomit or pee. Other than that 1st stall its not really all that bad...for a public bathroom

I've read that statistically most people go into the first and last stall in public bathrooms, so if you go into one of the middle ones you are more likely to get a clean one.

And if it's a set of odd # (like 5 stalls) 2 & 4 are the cleanest. But I can never go in them b/c I really hate when people go in the one right next to me if others are open, so I try not to mess up the 'use every other stall' system

OMG, my FH does that too and he wonders why I get mad. It is SO rude to talk to someone when they are on the phone. My mom taught me that (the hard way ) when I was a lil girl

Or how about when people come and stand behind you while you are working on the computer for no apparant reason! OMG, get off my back!!!! geeze.

And the phone thing...DOES IT LOOK LIKE A BIG BLACK EARRING???????????

OR...my desk is across from my bosses office and he clips his toe nails while he is on the phone with clients.

oh, not even mentioning him picking his nose for 10 minutes.

I was on a conference call today with my headset on AND typing up an email and this guy starts asking me if I know where someone sits

HELLO?????? I am clearly BUSY! ask someone else.

I have another one.

There's this woman who I share a cubicle wall with who does NOTHING ALL DAY but yap on the phone, all personal calls! and get this, she's only been at the company for a month! I have no idea what she does, she's not in my dept., but I am sick of hearing her booooooooooooring stories about her 2 bratty kids
