how are the meetings at carle place? it's 10 min away from where i live, and i was thinking of switching to there once i get my driver's license. i like the idea of going on sat morning so i can use all my flex pts during the weekend, and make up for it during the weekdays

i love the saturday morning leader.. she is there at 7:30 and 9:00, she is the best one there... I think

If you girls are going to go on Saturday morning, I'll defintely meet you there!!! What do you girls say, 9am???

DAILY QUESTION FOR WEDNESDAY.....

God knows i've stopped and started WW at least 10 times. I was a chubbette as a kid, and obviously it stuck. What has gotten in your way before?? What prevented you from either hitting your goal, or gaining back what you lost?

For me, my biggest mistake was getting cocky. I'd do great for a month or two, then i'd get all 'i hate meetings, i can do it on my own'.....yeah no.....no i can't I HAVE TO GO TO THE MEETINGS!
I gained a lot of weight over the past two years or so because I'm a stress eater and it's been rough lately....unfortunately for me, when I eat bad, I gain very rapidly. I've had my thyroid checked, i'm slightly hypothyroid, but certainly not enough for medications or therapy....but it just reminds me hey guess what---you eat that, you'll be sorrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

I work a LOT of hours at my job. Most of the time we end up ordering lunch, sometimes dinner, and when I do get out early enough to cook, I usually have so little time that I make something quick and not necessarily healthy. On average, I probably eat take out 7 or 8 times per week. . .

oh yeah...i def eat out and in my car way too much. The commute from LI to NJ every week over the past 5 years hasn't helped. I'm doing rotations for school and i've been all over NY for it (right now i'm in brooklyn!!) so its like....if I can't get it at a drive through, i don't have time.....I started packing stuff yesterday though. I just either have to make something the night before, or get up even earlier. I picked up that strawberry oatmeal from WW and I take that in the car for Breakfast. I eat that at about 5:30 and it carries me through to 12 when I can have lunch. That is a huge help bc it keeps me away from munchkins in the lounge!

Re: **OFFICIAL '08 WW BOARD** DAILY QUESTION SEE PAGE 2

I started an official thread a while back since there were so many of us doing WW. No one responds on that though :(

My meeting is tonight and so far i've lost a little over 10 lbs on WW and 15 lbs total since June. It's a really slow process but i'm happy with the results.

I completely agree with you guys. LC is soooo much better than SO.

I usually buy whatever is on sale though and stock up especially on the desserts. My fave is the cookie dough.

I also love the 100 cal packs/bars.

Sure add me to the list.

I like them because i'll eat the whole container of pringles (especially at that time of the month). At least you get a little something :) But your right it is a tease soemtimes!!!

In response to your question, i'm the same way, i get cocky also. I've done so well on WW in the past. About 5 years ago (around my sisters wedding) I lost about 70 lbs. I put back 40 lbs as soon as I stopped going. Now i've lost back almost 25 lbs. Something about this time is different. Except for a week or two, when I was sick. I've gone every week to meetings. I have a goal of another 25 lbs for my wedding and i'm going to plan another goal after that.

As they always say in meeting. 'If you always do what you always did, you always get what you always got'. Thats what pushes me to go to meetings and write things down.

Hey Girls!

Kindly add me to the list!

So far I've been back on WW for 2 weeks, and I'm down 5 pounds!

woohooooooo!

and 040508bride- definately get the Progresso soups - they are tasty and filling.

Progresso was on sale at S&S this week so I bought a few. Unfortunately the WW weren't included in the sale but I made sure to look at the labels first and got the ones that were only 1-2 pts per can.

I love the Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice Paninis!! They are pretty small though, so I like having some zero point progesso soup with it!

um hi what soup is zero points????? do tell! the only one i know of is the recipe in the book......i saw in the magazine that someone has a low calorie soup...maybe it was progresso? Italian Veggie?

They have like 4 different types!!! All super yummy IMO. . . its progresso, and its labeled zero points with a WW endorsement.

Go look at hungry-girl.com

She has loads of WW tips and secret food finds - you'll become addicted!!!

Oh and for those of you that don't know.

Dottie's

The ABSOLUTE best site IMO. They have points for most of the chain restaurants. I always use it at work before I go out to lunch. It really helps you to plan if you must eat out.

Just curious, how is it wrong? I've seen some things off by .5-1 pt but not much else than that. I know some things you can check on the restaurant website but not a lot of them.

I know the ceaser side salad at Wendy's is 1 pts on WW.com and 1.5 on dwlz. Not sure what else is off.

I used to go on the WW boards a lot and there were lots of girls complaining about her webpage. Its stuff that she didn't update nutritional information. . .I never spent a lot of time on her site, I'm just going on what I was told.

Yeah I guess I can understand that. I guess its because Dottie was on and off WW recently and hasn't really been focusing on the website???
Some of it says newly updated and its in 06. It's like um thats not recent how can you say that?

However I still think its a great starting point.
