Hey Guys, I drove by CLM yesterday and noticed that the big skylight was covered. They gathered a very pretty fabric in the middle...has anyone seen this and if so, do you think this is a permanent thing or are they redoing the skylight?? I think it looks really elegant. and different...so I hope its a go :o)

Hmmm...I might like that only because the room is kind of bright and we're having a day wedding and I was worried it would be too bright in there. I wish I lived closer so I could go look!

I SAW THE FABRIC OVER THE SKYLIGHT! I am a witness to it! lol....I went RH stalking twice a few weeks ago ( ) and saw it BOTH times. I have it on my list to speak to Nick about next time I go. I hope it was temporary, but I would love to have the option of using something like that if I want to. Either way, I hope they clean the skylight...it was sooooooo dirty the last time I was in there
ETA: the color was white/beige-ish...it was light colored

Does anyone know if we can throw rose petals during the ceremony? The florist I saw today said to ask because sometimes RHs don't allow it.

Just wondering if any of you ladies are getting chair covers since they don't offer them here. If so where? Im getting married there next Nov. and I'm trying to decide if its worth getting or not.

We got married in Aug @ CLM & we felt that the expense of the chair covers & sashes were just not worth it. The chairs at CLM are not like some of the other RH's - they are very classy & elegant looking. I just think it's a waste of $$$ in MHO...spend the money someplace else. Here are a few pics of our room - so you can see what I mean...
hey ladies, im looking into hotel blocks. Have any of you done this yet? If so, where? And did you have to leave a credit card to hold the rooms? I was thinking about the Courtyard Marriot In Farmingdale. Do they provide a shuttle to clm? If not , what hotel did you use? TIA!

We blocked rooms @ Courtyard Marriott in Farmingdale. We did need to hold rooms w/ a cc. But the nice thing about the block was that if we got 10 reservations - our night after the wedding was FREE! which we did- we had like 12 rooms reserved.
They do provide a shuttle to CLM - we had I think 2 or 3 going to venue, & 4 or 5 heading back to the hotel. It worked out perfectly for all our OOT guests. Plus they serve up a pretty decent breakfast buffet.

Holiday Inn Express provides a shuttle... Guests are paying $149 on a Sat night in July and are receiving a free shuttle to and from the wedding and to and from the rehearsal dinner.
We did not have to leave a credit card, only for our bridal suite.
Also if they do not want to receive the shuttle the rooms go for $119 without the shuttle. This gives the guests options.

Did YOU pay extra for the shuttle? Or did the guests pay for the shuttle service?

we did our block there. they block 10 rooms to start and you add as you need more. If you don't use all the rooms they go back into their inventory the month before the date. If you book atleast 10 rooms you get the shuttle at no charge. Also, you get a free room. We did the suite, so they are putting the credit for the free room against the cost of the suite and we just have to pay the difference. They were great to deal with! Oh and our rate is $129/night!
