How exciting! I feel like it's all happening super fast, and I also feel like I have no time, yet, in reality I do! LOL

I hope you have a GREAT experience with Leonards and GREAT weather!

Aww thank you !!
Once you get the major vendors booked then all the little annoying stuff comes into play..but no worries you'll get it all done . Thanks i really hope so even though our tasting experience was so so..don't get me wrong the food was good but kind of disorganized because they were having a showcase.

Really? That stinks!!!

I went in March with my mom and grandmother, it was organized pretty well the only thing I didn't like was that the food wasn't labeled so I didn't know what some of the things were. I definitely want to substitute somethings.

Being that FH and I are Puerto Rican, I heard that they offer paella, empanadas, and plantains.

Yea i noticed that too..no signs like come on tell us what you got lol. They had the receptionist telling who to go into the room and she was the only one doing that so it was a bit chaotic. Yep they do but the CH has so much food that it may be wasted. I went to my cousin's wedding there and it was so crazy how much food there was and the main course was so much also. The porkchop is the best, i totally recommend to upgrade to that . We're PR too but i wonder if the Spanish food would taste authentic

At my cousin's wedding which was in 2007 i didnt notice any chaos like how it was at the tasting so i'm sure that during a wedding they totally step up.

Hmmmmm that's a good point....I went to a wedding in JT and they had the paella and they had plantains and it was delicious! That Brides cousin got married at Leonards in November so i am going to ask her if she had any spanish foods at the CH and if they recommend them, I will let you know what she says!

I am also a 2010 Leonards bride
We havent had a food tasting yet? Who arranges that?
As far as upgrades, so far...we are adding in the unlimited seafood during CH and the porkchop of course!
We are having a hard time finding hotels to book in the area, and we are also looking into churches that are close by, so any suggestions would be GREAT!! Also, where are you taking pics after the ceremony?
I am so excited, FH and I went in for another visit a few days ago and everytime we go, we stop by our room! FH loved the fact that there was very little carpet and I liked the rate! I look forward to hearing more from you all

I would LOVE to take pics at Old Westbury Gardens! I think it's BEAUTIFUL!!! But it is costly! I think it's about 16-20mins from Leonards!

No I have not, depending on my two appts next week I might try to make an appt with them. Have you met with them?

Re: *******OFFICIAL 2010 LEONARDS BRIDE'S THREAD**********

Yes, I forgot to mentioned I booked with them also so now I'm just sitting back and going to enjoy the ride. As far as make-up, my cousin is a make-up artist and she is great so I'm going to use her for me and the girls, but for my hair i'm going to set-up a trail with '***' from the *************, because I have heard so much about her.

Haha, I'm the same way. I just got engaged like a month and a half ago and I've booked RH, DJ, Limos, Photo/Video, ordered my dress, know my color scheme, bought the favors, lol... Oh and I'm going for a make up trial tomorrow and meeting with a florist on Sunday.

The planting fields at Oyster Bay has been suggested to me. I want to go check it out; I hear it's beautiful there? Is anyone doing the ceremony there? I'm in the Continental; what room is everyone else in?
