So many other RH's have their own threads... I searched but couldn't find one for the Woodlands... are there even enough of us on here to have an official Woodlands thread???
I decided to add the list of 2010 Woodlands Brides... there aren't many of us!!!
I just made reservations at the Woodlands for Valentine's Day! I'm so excited.
I also want to hear about MIssyAstoria's wedding on 1.23.10!!!!
How was everything???????

Hi Woodlands Girls,
I hope everyone's planning is moving along well. I would love to see pictures of that cake!
We are currently working on invitations and limos. Anyone using any of the house limo companies (does that even exist actually)?
Also, I think I posted about this awhile ago but where is everyone having their DJ/Band set up and then where are you having the BP enter during their introductions?
Just one more question which might have been addressed already as well but I am going to start researching soon. For those of you who are staying in a hotel the night of your wedding, which hotel nearby are you using?
TIA

i cant remember who their house limo company is but they do have 1. i am debating having the dj set up by the double doors directly across from the french doors- however i wouldnt want people coming in and going out on the dance floor while others are dancing. i was told that the other doors will be open if ppl want to go out. so it might be in front of the double doors. HTH

I'm using Royalty Limo. They gave us a good price.
Also I think I want the DJ set up in front of the big double doors. I want to sit near the glass window area. I just think it would be prettier for pics.

Royalty is the house Limo Company
normally the DJ/band goes in front of the glass doors but we dont like that bc then the sweetheart table is like off to the side of the double doors. We are going to have the DJ in front of the double wood doors and our sweatheart table in front of the glass doors. i think ppl come in a door to the side of the double wood doors
we blocked rooms at the Four Poiints Sheraton in plainview

I'm doing the same for the DJ/sweetheart table.
I booked with Camelot and got an awesome deal and we blocked rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn in Plainview. The rooms were $129/night and the shuttle was only $300.

hi :) - they have two house limo vendors - Camelot & Royalty - I'm using Camelot - Joe is AWESOME :) you can ask him to throw in an aisle runner (if needed). We've thinking of having the DJ setup by the two double doors (not the ones near the garden). We're thinking of having the BP enter from the Garden Double Doors. We reserved a block of rooms with Melville Marriot - speak to Ilene. She gave us a good rate. The Four Points was a bit more pricer... HTHs :)

I agree about sitting by the glass window area - definitely prettier for pictures and be the center of attention, the other side you'll be kinda hidden.

Hi Ladies! I have tons of questions - hope you can answer them.
Care to share your wedding colors? Purple & Green (think Joker)
Is anyone having a certain theme to their wedding? Touch of Monopoly :)
Have you all finished the wedding invitations? Still working on them, we're DIYs ones...
Anyone making programs or menus? We're not doing Programs but will be doing Menus
What types of favors are you deciding on? Here's where the monopoly comes in
Anyone putting photos frames on the fireplaces and how many? We bought a few frames, but not sure how many would be sufficient by the fire place. I remember there was three.

Are you planning to have any other special touches?

Re: *** Official 2010 Woodlands Thread ***
Not sure about favors. Maybe wine??
My colors are a mix of lavendar, light green, and cream.
Pics on the mantle--yes! Maybe sets of grandparents and parents? i haven't started collecting so I have to see how big they are.
Sig drink--I saw something that I liked at the showcase in October. I think it was some sort of green martini with a flower floating. I thought it was really pretty.
I can't wait to do a tasting!
Oh and where are you putting place cards??

My colors are silver, antique gold, black and red
My theme is a vintage, whimsical feeling. (If you can call that a theme)
I have a while yet until my wedding, so I have not yet ordered my invitations.
I think I will def be doing photos and some candles on the fireplaces.
Also, does anyone know when the next showcase is? I in Florida so I have not gone to one yet but I am really trying to make one!

I would say sometime in May. That was when the spring one was last year.
