Out of curiosity has anyone thought about doing luminaries outside?

You mean by the garden area? Yes, but we're not sure how the weather would be like - I saw luminary bags save-on-crafts.com - I think they would look real pretty

Hi Woodlands Ladies,

You can add me to the list...we recently booked 10/30/10!

I am SO obsessed with how gorgeous the entire place is! Also, I grew up less than a half mile from The Woodlands, so if anyone needs any local/town info please dont hesitate to ask!

Cafe Testarossa and Mims are great RD locations!

Does anyone know about bathroom baskets?? Are you going to bring them? I can't remember what the Woodlands said when I booked.

Welcome! July 16th was the original wedding date I wanted but since FH's brother got married at the Woodlands in July 2006, FH wanted to at least have our own anniversary month. We went with August 6th instead.

Well I booked with Nicole and she left to go to the Water's Edge... no one told me though which I found annoying and unprofessional.... but moving on... I tried calling Helen a few times but she's pretty slow to respond.

I just called there and my new contact I want to say is named Sally. I talked to the manager. Did you all hear the delano is closed? That sent my step mom into a tizzy that the entire place was closing- but I talked the manager and he said that they are turning the upstairs into smaller catering areas because the restaurant only made money on Saturdays.

Re: *** Official 2010 Woodlands Thread ***

I booked the Huntington Hilton (Melville) because they have a bar that I don't have to pay to keep open and its really nice. They also gave a block room rate of 129. I didn't go with their shuttle (300 also) because it only fits 13 people and since it is 15 minutes away from the woodlands I wanted to be able to fit more than 13 in a 30 minute (round trip) period. I have no clue what a good price is for a limo.

FYI- I also heard that if you want to ride in the shuttle back to the hotel with your guests that you could get the limo company to agree to take you to the airport for your honeymoon instead!
