Post your name here if you would like to be a seat filler for a fellow LIW 2013 Bride. If a bride can not make her minimum, she can call upon the seat fillers! This would mostly likely be within 2 weeks of the wedding. Respond promptly when asked, we don't want the bride getting married to have any extra stress.

***Rules*** (please give suggestions)

* I am going to also have a poll going until Feb. 15 about the gift amount.

POLL HAS ENDED. $50 is the amount with 20 votes.
$50 is per person, if FH is invited the amount would be $100.
* Please do not sign up to be a seat filler if you feel uncomfortable doing so (giving money, $50). Also, be prepared to go solo, unless the bride invites FH! :)
* It will be the brides discretion to invite just brides or brides & FH. If a bride has a uneven amount needed, please invite brides only (it will be uncomfortable if you need 3 people and one couple shows up and a single person).
* I decided to add what hall, so brides can pick other brides who are getting married at their hall.
* I think we should keep a list of who wants to and check people off so everyone gets a chance. but not delete people because you never know who is available for a given weekend!
* Maybe this rule should be at least 2 LIW bride or a LIW bride w/ her other half. Bottom line - it would nice to have a buddy there and I think for safety reasons we should travel in pairs. Please advise any bride attending which other LIW bride will be going so that they can make plans to go together.

I love this idea. My only concern being work. I work at least two weekends a month. So if I was asked id feel terrible if that weekend I had work, but I would be able to let you know asap though. ANother suggestion maybe have LIW brides looking for seat fillers invite that brides fiance that way they dont feel like they dont know anyone and feel uncomfortable because chances are a bride will need more than a few to meet her minimum. Maybe take a poll and up the gift amount? DharmaColbie86- Allison Floral Terrace! just my opinion.

Yah! Love it. I think if FH can be invited, that great, but in someways this is special because you get to meet some other LI Brides. Either way, I think it just depends on how many seats are needed.I dont think my FH would be up for this, LOL, but I sure am!

DharmaColbie86 I added your suggestion but this will only work if a bride needs an even amount of seat fillers.
My FH wouldn't be up for this either, but it's nice to have a girls night also.

Is it possible to institute a rule stipulating that at least 2 LIW brides should be at the wedding? I suggest it only because I think it would suck to go to a wedding a not know anyone there. Plus, I think it's just a good idea in general to travel and hang out in pairs. Thoughts?

ETA - Maybe this rule should be at least 2 LIW bride or a LIW bride w/ her other half. Bottom line - it would nice to have a buddy there and I think for safety reasons we should travel in pairs.

Just wanted to make sure, if we get asked to be a seat filler but we cannot make it, it is alright to decline? It makes sense in my head but I just wanted to make sure.

I do like this idea of not having to be completely alone. My FH would probably love to be invited, he loves weddings and is very sociable lol. But also I would feel more comfortable being with another LI Bride at least, and it would be really fun to catch up and compare notes!

Agreed. That way, the fillers would at least know someone there, so to speak. I think that it's important that the fillers be able to commit and attend if they have agreed so that the Bride still doesn't end up with empty spots at the very end. You'll have to be the type up for a bit of adventure!

Crashing! My wedding is 1/24/14, but I would love to attend a fellow LIW brides wedding before that. Unfortunately, There's only about 4 other brides before me for 2014. If you girls have gone through your list close to the end of 2013, I would love to be a seat filler for a Nov/Dec wedding!
