Morning Ladies, me too, but not wedding planning, final planning. I spent the whole weekend in the library and yet I don't feel that was good enough how is everyone's wedding plans coming along?

Oo thats the worst having to be in the library nonstop studying .....for me its been okay trying to get a church because all the ones i call dont call me back so its been a pain and going to rebook a place on Saturday.

One church never called me back and the other ive been playing phone tag with...its been quite annoying lol.

Wow! I suggest you go in person, that's the best bet that you will get to talk to someone. I am shock with their level of unprofessionalism.

I cant the rectory closes at 5 if you dont have an appt, i keep calling to try to get an appt and no call so its a no win situation lol.

No the rectory is not open on the weekends ...im trying to get married at St Pauls the Apostle in Queens but i may go to St. Barts because they got back to me very quick regarding my baptism papers.

OMG!!! I can completely share this moment with you b/c I was having a hard time getting the church to call me back too. I couldn't believe it. Out of all people the church can't even call you back. ***!! I gave up trying, but I need to start calling again.

You will be surprised how it tends to be about the money. I guess I can share my secret with you gals but don't tell anyone...I am a bit

As some of you may know I got married in St. Patricks Cathedral...well it cost $1,750. DH gave a $500 deposit and gave a check for the remaining bal 2 mnths b4 the wedding and they called us back in Sept. saying that the check bounced. DH is not great with keeping track of his account so we thought it was paid. Well they didn't get paid because they took months to deposit the check...I mean come on, I don't know who tends to have over 1k in their checking. Well DH thought he had extra $ in his savings so we used it up in the honeymoon. The priest has been calling me since Sept. like a collection agency. The problem is we have no money to pay them, we used the money we got from the wedding to pay off the bills and can't afford to pay them that now. The way I see it is that I am taking that as a gift from God and one day when I can financially I will finish paying the donation if not more.

Wow, I had no idea St. Patrick's charged THAT much. Jeez, I thought long and hard about potentially getting married there....then I let it go because I imagined the price woul de double what my parish charges...turns out it's nearly triple.

Wow. Well, your pictures are AMAZING. I'm sure when the time is right for you guys you will finish the 'donation'. I can't believe they call that way. Sigh....such a shame.

I know you ladies would not Judge Us...lol, but other will, but sadly at this time there is no money! We had the same problem with the $500 deposit. DH receive a call because they took 2 mnths to deposit that check...I mean come on what are you waiting for. Our kids are allowed to be baptized there because we got married there, but I can imagine them saying no sorry you have an outstanding debt..lol I am curious to know how much they charge for baptisms.

Sorry to change the subject but I need a little help figuring out the name of a new song, its by Hector Acosta featuring some one (the voice is so melodic I cant tell if its a guy or a girl). Its a Bachata and came out within the last month, its breaking my head!!!

Thank you im really trying to . So i got some feedback reg Riccardos prices. It was an excellent price for buffet but i know alot of people don't do buffet. Is it okay to do a buffet or will it look bad?

Girl...don't sweat it! Get your buffet on but ENSURE you have open bar and a fantastic DJ. We're Latinos....we need a plate of food, drinks and music. That's it.

In my 30 years on earth I've never heard people complain about buffet- I HAVE heard them complain about cash bar.

You can't afford it right now. If you guys decided to wait two more years you would...but your priority is to get married and start your life together. Remember that.

Your Mom means well, don't take it to heart. Once she see's that a buffet at a reception hall is not the same as a buffet at Tia so and so's house....she'll come around. She wants you to have the very best and often they try to relive things through us.
