Girl...don't sweat it! Get your buffet on but ENSURE you have open bar and a fantastic DJ. We're Latinos....we need a plate of food, drinks and music. That's it.

In my 30 years on earth I've never heard people complain about buffet- I HAVE heard them complain about cash bar.

Definitely definitely will have a fantastic DJ and open bar of course lol...its my mom telling me that buffets are tacky i told her no they are not as long as the food is delicious...who cares!!! Shes just upset that i cancelled my other place but what can i do we can't afford it unfortunately.

You can't afford it right now. If you guys decided to wait two more years you would...but your priority is to get married and start your life together. Remember that.

Your Mom means well, don't take it to heart. Once she see's that a buffet at a reception hall is not the same as a buffet at Tia so and so's house....she'll come around. She wants you to have the very best and often they try to relive things through us.

Exactly we rather get married and start our lives the huge wedding is minimal on our list we can do a smaller wedding and be perfectly fine with it. She'll have to adapt to the new way the wedding is being conducted..no choice..

As for buffets go, it was the best decision ever, DH said there is no way we are doing sit down, every time we went to a sit down wedding he always ended up hungry, he wanted people to stuff their faces till they could no more

PS. People will talk $h1t whether you spent 10 per person or 100 per person

and no offense, unless your mom is gonna any-up (sorry thats the ghetto in me)lol...for the entire wedding, she shouldnt care where its held so long as you are happy

BTW, did you choose a photog and video already? Flowers? if not FM me for info on either, I got great prices....

Trust me i feel your DH on that one lol... my FH had said that same thing but then the places we had looked at before didnt mention buffet so we didnt bother with it anymore..I told her that i could care less what ppl have to say because we're the ones paying for it not them so after that she didnt say anything else lmfaooo .....I booked my photog but everything else is in the air...i'll FM you reg flowers..thanks

It is amazingly true because if you have sit down dinner and the food is bad they criticize but if you want a buffet and the food is good they still do..so *** then lmfaoooo

good luck at riccardos tonight! if you can drive by astoria world manor, which is very close, and the outside is beautiful. it might be around the price range you are looking for (its about the same as riccardos)
