Official May 07 Thread!!!!

When are you guys sending out your STDs?

I am a little worried cause some JUly brides have already ordered theirs.

Oh wow.... I am thinking of sending them out.. after the holiday.

we are sending ours out this week.

I probably would have waited a little longer, but my mom really wanted to send out engagement announcements (we are not having an e-party) so i figured i should send them out with the annoucements instead of doing two mailings

I have thought about it but that is as far as it has gone!! We were going to make them ourselves-but I think some ladies have changed my mind
But, I probably wont send them out until about ayear before...its memorial day weekend so I NEED to make sure people know it IS memorial day weekend.

Just a heads up-my friend got married July 1 this year and alot of people cancelled on them a few weeks before b/c of the 4th...sad but true

True, about Memorial Day weekend. I'll probably wait a year then also. I still need to work on the guest list. Another fun task!

Wow!! You girls make me feel like I'm so behind! I think you're all secretely wedding planners because you guys are too good with this stuff!
Either that, or you were wedding planners in a past life... hahaha

We're sending ours out in the next month or so...the only reason we're sending them out so early is because we're having a destination wedding and we want people to know far in advance so they can plan accordingly.

I have ordered them have them already and I am in the process of making the cards that I will put them in but I am still unsure of when we will send them. We are not having an engagment party either but everybody keeps telling that it's too early! I don't know when to send them out. I want to soon because I am so excited but I don't know!!!!!

I think you should send them out after the holidays.... sending them out too soon some people might lose or misplace them. (it could happen even with a magnet)

I am definitly waiting until after the holidays.

Right now it is all word of mouth and then they will get a reminder(STD).

Best purchase I ever made was 'wedding planning for dummies' trust me-I READ THE WHOLE THING!!!

It was/is a huge help. It gives you lists of questions to ask all your vendors, helps you with all the little things. Children at weddings, invitation wording...etc.

I am going to look into Judith G.

I heard she is good and was recommended by a few brides.

I had considered getting a DOC-but in actuality I can handle ANY problems that come along-I would prefer too b/c then Im not left out of the loop. I am pretty good at getting my way
