Re: OFFICIAL November 06 thread

Hi girls...

I pretty much have all the major things done....place, band, photog/videog, honeymoon, my dress, BM's dresses, pre-cana, priest&rabbi all booked! Just decided on our florist...Masters and Co in RVC...LOVE THEM! Just need to officially book them! Met with 2 others and they didn't compare to Masters at all! She gave me the best prices....a very well know florist on LIW laughed at me when they asked me my budget....told me it was impossible and I felt like saying 'Oh really - then why did 2 other florists that I've met with already offer me everything you are and more for my budget amount.' It's amazing to me what a rip off florists can be.
My hair and make up trials are in a few weeks...going to a wedding so just having my trials done that day.
In the process of ordering FG dresses.
Ordered part of BM gifts...need more.
Need to get shoes and jewelry and undergarments for myself....need to help mom find a dress.
Oh and I need to do invites still! Think I know what we are getting though so that should be easy.

I need to get 1 limo just to take myself and my girls to our hall. My FH and his best men will be getting dressed there so they can get themselves there. And our ceremony and reception are in the same place so the limo does not even need to stick around....we literally just need one to pick us girls up at my parents house and drive us 20 minutes to the place.....any recommendations for that would be appreciated! Not sure who to use.

What else do I have to do now???
FH will go for tuxes as we get closer to the date.
I'll work on programs closer to the date also b/c we haven't even written the ceremony yet.

Oh we're still so undecided on favors since the ones we had our hearts set on are discontinued.

If there's something I should be doing now that I'm forgetting let me know please! I sort of feel like I'm in that time frame where there's a lull....except I know I need to do invites this month or next...

Slowly but surely, things are coming back together for me...I've picked a calligrapher, brunch and rehearsal dinner place--just need to book them all. Ditto honeymoon--really need to get on that. We finally took 'engagement' pictures--even though it's been almost a YEAR since we got engaged! Love them!

Instead, I'm spending time on fun DIY projects like designing personalized cigar labels and OOT hangtags...not the best use of my time, but more fun!

Re: OFFICIAL November 06 thread

im currently working on:
-invites (im so wishywashy about these, i wish someone else would just pick them for me!)
-RD
-HM (my FH is in charge of planning and he needs to start working on it!)
-wedding band for me, FH already has his!

ETA, oh yeah, and my dress is in......should I go get it or just leave it??? im doing alterations else where and probably won't start them for a couple months. Is is okay to just have the dress at my house???

You could def leave it at your house (just make sure you don't keep trying it on or you might get it dirty with makeup or something). I left mine at the store because I have absolutely no place to put it. I think if I had it at home I would wear it all day long.

same here...like in that friends episode. but if you have a place for it in your house and have some self control, go for it! it will be one less thing to do later on.

I'm doing 4 different centerpieces and varying them on the tables:
-all pillar candles of various heights on a bed of rose petals
-some candelabra high ones - pink/ivory roses and hydrangea
-some low in a square vase with pillar candles (pink roses/hydrangea)
-some in various size cylinder vases (pink roses/hydrangea)

Do you know what Flower Michele is charging you for each CP? Also is the pumpkin base a real pumpkin or is it like a pumpkin vase??? Sounds beautiful!

I'm doing a low CP - square glass vase with branches all in the base of the vase (sounds weird but looks cool) with circus and black magic roses with berries...looks gorgeous! Simple yet elegant!

That's what I'm doing (but not with the branches - never thought of that but it sounds really cool)! I don't know why but I'm starting to second guess the CP's, especially when other people post their's. They are all so pretty. I feel like I should put some filler in it but I don't know what kind.

I actually hate fillers.....fillers to me is a lot of unnecessary green stuff. Mine will just be all the roses all tight filling up the entire vase so there will be no room for fillers/greens. The berries will add a nice touch. I actually don't like too much going on in a floral arrangement - I love just roses. I'm not into 4 or 5 different flowers in one arrangement. I think it will be pretty - you should stick with it!
