OFFICIAL November 06 thread

Hey Girls!!!!

I've been away for a little while, but I too am beginning to freak out a little.... I went for a hair trial last Monday, and it was horrible .... I want my hair down and pulled back a little... I was also borrowing my best friends head piece, and it just didn't look good on me... My hair dresser has been doing my hair for 15 years and she's great at what she does, but brutally honest and opinionated (sp?).... I want a very relaxed look.. My hair is med length ( almost to the middle of my back), and pin straight. I was either thinking to keep it straight and do something very simple, or pulled back and a little wavy in the back.... She ended up curling my whole head and I hated every second of it.... When I got home I brushed it ALL out and it looked soft and very pretty and all down. If it's all down, How does the veil stay in???? and How do I keep from tucking my hair behind my ears???? I'm very upset about this , I don't know why, but it is reall bothering me.... Thanks for listening.......

Also.. I still have to:

Get my Mother & MIL to gt shopping
Need Undergarments
SHoes
Groomsmen Gifts
Finish booking the HM
Need Calligraphy done on Invites
..........And I'm sure more little things, but I can't even think anymore..........

Aww Gina, I am worried about my trials too and I haven't even started mine yet. Maybe you should try a few different trials with other stylists? Although your regular hair girl may be awesome sometimes its hard to nail the right 'Wedding' look especially if they have been doing your hair for a long time. I have been waking up last week with mini anxiety attacks. Like I dream about the wedding and wake up with my heart pounding out of chest because I forgot to do something or some other ridiculous notion. We still have plenty of time to do this! Some girls plan their whole wedding in 5 months, so we should be ok!

Thanks so much... I have been going through the same thing too... The nightmares coincide with the details of the wedding. And I have been having horrible headaches too.... I know we have 5 months, and I know I'm probably over reacting, I just wish all this planning was over sometimes....

Welcome!!! I'm pretty much where you are. I'm waiting to do invites until next week. Hair trial is in early August. Unity candle is being researched as we speak. The only things I still need to do are GM gifts (BM's are done!), MOH gift, Necklace or bracelet for me to wear (already have the earrings), gift for FH's parents, and tuxes. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff though!

Hi....are you doing a theme wedding? Like I'm getting fall themed unity candles with leaves on them. You can get them anywhere really...all the wedding websites have unity candles.
I'm getting married at my RH but if I were in a church yes I'd have my florist do pew bows.

Gina - about your hair....I had my hair and makeup trials this past Saturday. My hair came out ok I think...I HATED my makeup though. I told the girl light and I had so much eye shadow on...I went home and re-did my eyes (I was going to a wedding). It's annoying but I'll just keep looking around....at this point I may end up doing my own makeup!

Lol I'm still working on the BM dresses!

Hopefully they'll be ordered this week.

I'm so looking forward to finishing all this planning.

YAY! I just finished booking our honeymoon to Costa Rica! I'm so incredibly excited!!!

Almost 4 months for us early Nov girls!

My ceremony and reception are both at Flowerfields - the hospitality is at 11:30am and we are allowed to be there @ 9:30 for pictures. What time do you think I should begin getting ready??
I am using Jacqueline Nicole for my makeup, she was awesome, I didn't have my hair trial yet, I am going in July with Denise from Hairspray, anybody use ther?
I can't believe a little more than 4 months!!!

I'm using Jacqueline Nicole as well. I absolutely loved how she did my makeup. Our ceremony is at 11:30AM as well and we are leaving for East Wind by 9:30AM. If I sleep at all, I'll wake up at about 4:30AM to start getting ready. I almost think, why bother going to sleep at all!!!

I really haven't been on much here since going back to work, and I haven't been having such a wonderful experience with my TA.... So I'm a little fustrated with the whole HM thing right now...

But I always check on you gals!!!! I love when you post the links.. it makes me feel better!!!!

hey november ladies, can you believe its almost july??? im psyched, my invites should be here in 2 weeks and the HM stuff is done---now i have to work on finding shoes for the BMs and find a place for my RD. Have a happy 4th!

I can't believe it's almost July.....

Honestly... Where have the past couple of months gone???

I still have to find shoes, and new hair style with accessories and go shopping with my mom and FMIL, and FMIL's sisters...

My HM still isn't confirmed due to the TA and it's driving me nuts!

Sorry for the vent.... It's just coming a little faster than I expected...

I also hope everyone has a nice weekend!!!!!

July! Now I'll only be 4 months away. Time has flown by!

This weekend I'm looking for my shoes and we may go to look at tuxes. My invites came in too!
