this might be a silly question but how are you booking your rd restaurant already, do you already know when you rehearsal will be?

This is one of the next items on my list too. We have some ideas of places, but can't get an idea from FILs how much their budget is, so it's a little challenging. Hope to figure it out by early August!

Our wedding is on a Saturday and we're having the church rehearsal and dinner on the Thursday before.

Hi November Brides,
I just booked the florist and now I'm looking for a DJ - - tough choices. My fiance and I are particular about the music so finding the DJ will be a challenge. My other challenge is how to wear my hair that day. It's long and I usually wear it down, but keeping the veil on my head is not easy with my kind of hair. I'm thinking of going for half up/half down - - I'm not the up-do type. Any ideas? THANX!

Re: OFFICIAL November 06 thread

For the RD I am seriously thinking about doing it for Thanksgiving.. I'd be so sick of food is we had these huge dinners Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Wedding!).

Since his family is from OOT... I think I'm going to be looking for caterers to do it at my home, or looking into a restaurant. This way we can all relax friday night - maybe go to a movie or something to calm down before the big day.

If I stick with the original plan of Friday night RD then i'm probably going with a great Chinese buffet place I know... but i feel like i still have a lot of time for the RD plans

This is exactly what we are doing. Silly to have the same people at big dinners 2 nights in a row. Looking forward to just relaxing on Fri night...the night before the wedding!

Also - I am in no rush for tuxes. Those can be done so last minute. That is definitely the furthest thing from my mind. I probably won't even think about those until early Oct!!!

AND - my mom and FMIL both have not started to look for dresses yet either. I'm not stressing....leaving that up to them. My mom wants to lose a few pounds first and my FFIL was just diagnosed with cancer so dress shopping is the furthest thing from FMIL's mind which I don't blame her. She may end up with something off the rack from somewhere which is fine with me. Whatever works.

Where did you or where are you getting your ring bearer pillow from? I don't want to spend too much.. any suggestions?

I made mine!! It was actually pretty easy....and i knew i would never find one as clean and simple as i wanted!

THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! And my colors! Were they easy to do???
My florist is awesome and is providing 2 flower girl baskets with the rose petals for dropping for only $15 each. So I am just going with that...not going to go spend a fortune on a basket when I can just have her do it for so cheap.

I'm so sorry to hear about your FFIL. I'll definitely keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

Would you ladies mind sharing who you're using for calligraphy? After Kathleen's issues with Inkspun, I'm rethinking my choice. Any ideas?

Thanks!

One of my BMs and I put my list together today for the calligrapher

We are using All Type Computer Calligraphy. She's located in Plainview and is a vendor here. My BM actually used her 2 years ago , and she did a great job! I forgot who she used and just happened to pick the same one!
