Re: OFFICIAL November 06 thread
I would suggest starting to look for your makeup/hair stylist....I approached a couple and they were already booked for my date-can you believe it! It is hard so early, I orderd my tiara, but its not in, and I think it would be important to have for the trail. The one stylist I askd about this, said she had a few on hand she could play with so we could get an idea.
I haven't gone on any trials yet, but just set one up with denise venti for hair, and I have an email in to jaqueline nicole for makeup. I am also considering visiting a cactus spa salon (the east islip location)
Has anyone here had experience with cactus -I am curious not only for myself, but my FI's whole family is from Massachusettes so they need me to recommed a salon, and I noticed there was a cactus by the hotel they are staying at -the syosset location.

You guys are all so on the ball! I have sooo much to do, apparently! I need to do bridesmaid dresses, invites, honeymoon and book officiant ASAP!
I was excited to get my STDs made and sent out last week, but it seems like everyone's done that already and moved on to invites!
So much to do....

Ladies! If you don't mind my asking, what are you doing for favors? I was thinking a leaf shaped cookie cutter with chocolate but now I don't know. The theme for my wedding is, not surprisingly, Autumn Leaves. Please help me figure this out. It's my latest detail to obsess about. Thanks!
I love your idea! We are doing a Christmas ornament. FH and I love Christmas so we figured it was reflective of us and it's only a month before.
Thanks! I am still unsure if I want to put chocolate in the middle of the cookie cutter or just give the cookie cutter. Would love to give cookie dough but am not sure how I would work that out.

hmmm...not sure how you could do cookie dough either but what might be cute are those little jars or bags they make with ingredients stacked on top of each other (ie. flour, chocolate chips, sugar, etc) and a little cookie recipe attached?

WOW - I didn't notice we were date twins either! How fun! Are you day wedding or evening? We are at night...5pm ceremony - cocktail hr and reception immed. following.
I am just using a girl at the salon I have been getting my haircut at for years. She does great wedding day hair. I didn't book her yet but will call soon since you are all worrying me that so many people are booked already. BUT - sounds like you are all calling upon people who are well known for bridal hair...my girl just works at a reg salon cutting and doing hair. She doesn't book up that fast. She's my best kept secret! I will probably have makeup done there too. I will call soon though to set it up!
If any of you are having trouble finding anyone...I highly recommend Technicolor in RVC. They have tons of girls working there who all do great hair. Easy to get appts there too.

I just sent out my STD's last week too!!!!! We just picked out our invites and I'm in the processing of getting quotes for them.. It's amazing how different each vendor prices their invites or give discounts...
I think we just figured out who we want as our DJ too!!!!
Next is our Limos..

I am doing heart shaped cookie cuters as favors. I actually got my invitation from ebay-any questions, feel free to fm me!!! I booked my hair person (the person that normally does my hilites and cut) however, I decided to do my own makeup. I had some trials and I like how I do it the best!

I am doing the same thing0-end of august..it is two weeks before the start of the holiday season and I want everyone to have ample time.
That's a good idea. Basically, my part of the guest list is set. Now just getting FH & MIL's list is like pulling teeth. Right now, I just want a number from them so I can at least put in the order for the invites.

Is everyone going for their hair and makeup trials soon? I feel like everyone goes so early and I know I should because I need someone to come to me but I hate to go so early, especially when I'm so pale and have roots. Should I wait a little bit or just suck it up and go. BTW, who's everyone using?
I just went last weekend for my trials. I'm using Mya from Cosmetic Artistry.

We're doing donation favors to a cancer charity. My uncle just recently passed away from cancer and my aunt passed away last year from it too. FH lost his grandfather to cancer as well.

Re: OFFICIAL November 06 thread
Found my BM dresses!! I thought I had them picked out previously but something about them was bugging me. So I went with FMIL and FSIL/BM this weekend and we found them. So excited!! They are Jim Hjelm and they are going to be in Bordeaux color.
