Hi 'OFFICIAL' November brides,

8 months and flying...

I feel like I am in pretty good shape, all the big stuff is booked, now I am working on the details...most currently looking for hair and makeup artist -just booked a hair trial with Denise Venti (deniseventi.com) -her website looks great.

My biggest headache these days is figuring out the day of timeline -I am also having a day wedding (actually Nickipa, your my hall twin!) and I am finding it hard to figure out what time to have the photographer arrive, and the hair person, and leave to get to the ceremony...

Not to mention the newest debate -pictures before the ceremony -I never thought I'd even consider it, but I really want to go to my coctail hour. Any thoughts on this?

hey date/hall twin!!! my tentative timeline so far is:
me and all my girls to my salon at ~6am for hair and hair and makeup for me(with breakfast and mimosas!). back to the house by 9, photog arrives 9:30. limo picks FH and GMs up at 10 from hotel, drops at church, picks girls & me up at 10:30 to church for 11am ceremony, then all to the FH after...we are doing pics during the CH--FH said by no means would he see me before I walk down the aisle. HTH!!!! are you going to the event tomorrow at the FH?? If so i will see you there!

I am going tommorow! I hope to get there around 6:30, pending on the traffic. FI is battling this cold/achey thing that seems to be going round -hopefully he'll feel up to going. If not, my mom will be in toe.

I am impressed with your timeline- 6AM! oy, I think I have been in denaial about that part! My ceremony is actually going to be at the FH, starts at 1:30....which is why there is no time for photos between the ceremony and reception.

Im going to work on the photo thing, My gut feeling is that I really don't want to see FI before the ceremony... I am not having a bridal party -just a MOH and BM, so things may go faster to get me to the coctail hour also. I should ask my photog how long he anticipates portraits time.

HIIIIIII I am so glad we have a thread! There are a lot of us!!!! My next task is to pick the BM dress. And then from there I will be sending out my invites in August! Oh and we also have to book the honeymoon, we are going on a carribean cruise...Friday we will be getting our passports..It is going by so fast!!!! I need to lose some weight!

Ladies! If you don't mind my asking, what are you doing for favors? I was thinking a leaf shaped cookie cutter with chocolate but now I don't know. The theme for my wedding is, not surprisingly, Autumn Leaves. Please help me figure this out. It's my latest detail to obsess about. Thanks!

Hey Bethb...
My ceremony is at my reception site as well at 5pm, cocktail hour starts immediately after the ceremony. I absolutely REFUSE to see my FH before the ceremony. My hall is extending my cocktail hour by a half hour for me so that we can try to get pics done in 1 hr...and then at least get to enjoy a little of our cocktail hour. You should talk to your hall about this. Luckily ours is not charging us any overtime for it. They did it as a courtesty. Also - my photog couldn't have been nicer about my decision to not take pics before the ceremony. He promised he's work his butt off to get great shots in that 1 hr. time frame and I trust him. My BP is not that huge either. I met with other photogs who were down right rude about me not wanting to see FH before for pictures...some actually laughed at me and I just thought it was rude. I ended up not choosing them b/c of their attitude. Don't give in if it's something you feel really strongly about. Good Luck!!!

You're sending out your invites in AUG for a NOV wedding???? Isn't that really early??? Do you have a lot of out of towners that you want to give advance notice to??? You're scaring me big time!!! I wasn't going to send mine out until Oct. 1st for my late Nov. wedding.

I love your idea! We are doing a Christmas ornament. FH and I love Christmas so we figured it was reflective of us and it's only a month before.

Hi girls. I still have a lot to do! So far I have done:

church
reception hall
photo
video
dj
limo
STD
wedding gown
pre-cana

In the next few weeks I want to get the florist, figure out which BM dresses we want to get, and do my hair trial.

I can't believe how fast the time is flying!

Thanks KandE for the extending coctail hour idea...i'm going to ask my hall if its possible.

As far as favors, this is something I am really back and fourth about also. I was thinking of playing off the fall theme as well, and do candy apples -I've seen them really range in price, the lowest was for 1.00 a piece (coney island candy apples)

My other thought is to do a donation -I am involved in boston terrier rescue organization, so it would be to them, and then maybe get a chocolate molded boston terrier to accompany. This seems cool to me cause I am also trying to figure out a way to involve my dog, the other man in my life, in the wedding.

I went to a wedding where they gave away leaf shaped bottles of maple syrup, which seemed very fall, and yummy!
