Since I've seen these going around for a bunch of venues, I figured I'd add one for the Riviera.
Here's a place where all us Rivierans (yes just made that up) can talk about anything and everything regarding our upcoming weddings at the Riviera.
Past Brides: we'd LOVE to hear about your experiences there as well and if you can give us any pointers in planning our big days there
Ok ladies... Ready... Set... GO!

I just emailed them over the weekend for their linen choices. Here is their reply:
The colors of the napkins are: ivory, white, chocolate/champagne damask, pale blue/ivory damask, light pink, green, navy, and black; our tableclothes are: ivory, white, chocolate/champagne damask, pale blue/ivory damask, and black.
Hope this helps!
Thanks!
I have to check out the color of the green napkins when I go there to see if it's what I'm lookling for but what do you girls think of this....
My colors are green and yellow (more on the lighter side). Would it look weird doing black tablecloths with green napkins? I am planning on mounting the menus I made on yellow cardstock (see my photo albums for mockup) so that will help incorporate my yellow and my centerpieces are going to be yellow and green (see photo album).
Is the black going to look weird with those springy colors or make the room look too dark?
Hmmm, with the room being dark as is, I wouldn't do black linens. JMO! If you need to purchase, check out efavormart.com. That's where we got ours. It was cheaper than renting!
Oh I am way off the black linens LOL. I'm still unsure what color we are going to us but def. not black. I will see what they have when I go make the next payment.

Yay!! Our reception there is next Saturday, I can't wait! I hope everything goes smoothly. We ended up with 131 guests, which is 13 tables plus a sweetheart table for us. I think it's the ideal size for the room, no one is sitting in that little back alcove.
Hopefully the weather will hold up!

Oh god I hope we end up with the same amount of people as you! We are hoping for no more than 140 (fingers crossed) - I really want to avoid that back corner as well.
I can't wait to see pics of your wedding!!!

OHH I can't wait to see pics!!!!! When we were just there it was set up for 150 and it was good. They chose to only have like 7-8 people per table so they actually had a couple in that back corner. If they had more people at each table they wouldn't of had to but to each their own I guess.
Fingers crossed for amazing weather!!!!

We invited 220, landed at 131. About 25 guests were from out of the country, and another 15-20 from OOT. We thought we'd be at 150ish, but I am thrilled with 131.
Our largest table has 11 people, the smallest has 8, we tried to keep it around 10 per table.

yeah we would like to have the tables that hold max 12 to be at 10 and the ones that hold max 10 to be at 8, just to give people room. If I have to stick more people at certain tables than so be it.

I'm getting married there on Nov 26... I was so thrilled with the fireplaces.. the fact that they will be decorated for the holidays so I won't have to do much!!
I'm inviting about 170... hoping for 140 so we'll see.
My biggest concern is that my colors are chocolate brown with accents of orange/red & ivory.. I'm wondering how to lighten things up.. I'm guessing only the linens at this point...

Well to try and lighten up the room once the sun goes down, we spent some extra $$ on getting good lighting around the room from our DJ. I asked our DJ (who has done a lot of weddings there) what he thought we should do as far as lighting, since it can get dark in there. So they are going to be doing uplighting around the whole dining area. On top of that, we are going to be doing every other table with submerged centerpieces with floating candles on top so that will add some more light along with the votives that will be on the tables.

We just booked the Riviera yesterday for July 3rd next year. I'm British and he's American so it's a pretty ironic weekend to get married for us - just what I wanted!
Our guest list is going to be around 225, and we're hoping for 150-170ish. I really don't mind that back corner, we're going to set up tables for us and the parents on the far corner of the dance floor, so we get to look out and see everyone as well as (hopefully) spectacular views.
Can't wait! Gotta get down to the rest of the planning!

Is anyone having a band? My future MIL is dead set on it, but since I'm having tables on the dance floor, I'm worried a band on the other side is going to take up way too much room!

were doing a DJ but I don't think they'd take up any more room than the DJ and all their equpiment.

We are doing a DJ as well, but I guess it would also depend on how big the band is. I feel like a 10 piece band might take up quite a bit of room! Do you guys think that if we didn't have any extra lighting that it would be TOO dark? We didn't even think of that, but we do want lots of candles.

I was concerned about it being too dark as well... but figure with the DJ's lighting... and lots of candles, it should be OK.

Yeah, the darkness factor was a big concern of mine, that's why we popped for the extra uplighting around the room. But, I think like PP said, with the DJ lighting and candles on the tables it should be ok.
