Here we go ladies...lets start our own thread and keep each other sane with this crazy planning. All I have done so far is booked my hall, church, make-up and hair, I am ready to book the photographer (I will be using DUET) and I am ready to hunt down a DJ...what about you girls? Oh and I also know what florist I will be using.

Re: Official September 06 Thread
Should we be meeting w/ the priest before the rehearsal? Is that usually how its done? I met with the priest once last year to book the church and I would call the church directly, but they arent very helpful.

I just emailed my priest and he told me it wasn't necessary becasue we could hash out everything at the rehearsal..which I don't necessarily agree with that but whatever! haha I say if you ffel uncomfortable or anxious request to meet before the rehearsal just you the preist and FH

At this point i wish I could could hash this entire wedding out in a day! If you are doing programs, are you just going to go with the readings you selected and hope there are no problems?

THat was my exact issue, I had no idea where to put stuff in my programs so I did a rough draft and emailed the priest and he actually responded with corrections in red! it was great, so I know exactly what to give my readers...otherwise I was a mess

Thank you to Leslie at Travel Solutions for her patience!!! Had first dress fitting. Decided on centerpieces (took 2 minutes - literally) It was great! Waiting for veil and headpieces to be made so I can do my hair/make up trials. Need to pick out bridal jewelry. FH needs to ask his uncle to be a reader. Need to get marriage license, but FH can't find is birth certificate. Need to schedule meeting about menu. Need FH's cousin to practice her singing for the ceremony. Need to pick out a cake type. Need to do table cards/#s. Need to meet with florist again. go HM clothes shopping.

Re: Official September 06 Thread
I just called my church yesterday to find out what was going on with the deacon because he hasn't contacted us yet and I know he said we'd meet a month before. (A couple from the parish is in charge of the rehearsal so he's not present from what I gather).
Anyway the lady at the church was like, 'Ugh I always have to remind him to do things! Men!' So she told me she'd tell him to call us.
Otherwise I'm pretty calm. Now alot of the DIY projects need to get done. Menus, programs, favors, etc. Plus we're in the process of meeting with the vendors for the final time and of course, throwing money away!
