i went to a wedding with the placecards on the flower tree. this thing was huge and all the cards were cut from it....they spent over 50k on flowers....crazy! even crazier is the wedding was $500k....by far the most expensive wedding i'll ever attend!
um were possible doing a candy bar..but i don't think thats too unique
RH has a To Go Bar...pretty cool...take coffee and snacks with you.

i am doing a brother-sister dance.
i am making mini-scrapbooks out of paper bags as favors for the ladies (in my album), and the men will get either personalized playing cards, or a personalized golf ball set. at first i thought it was too weird, giving different favors to the men and the women, but now i like it and think it's neat.

the only thing that is a little different (i actually got this idea from someone on here!!) we're having the DJ play 'grow old with you' when we cut the cake instead of that 'the bride cuts the cake' song

Oh the Scrolling...my photographer/videographer is going to scroll the Church in segments..like when we walk around the table...when we get crowned.....when we walk out..stuff ilke that....during the reception...on plasmas that are available in our RH.
I think also when we take pics.. by the BK bridge .they are going to have them scrolling also.
Im not doing the baby pic's...i just dont like it IMO.

Thats good so however missed the church ceremony gets to see it at the reception. I would like that as well, as for the photo montage, I dont want baby pics either, just pics of FH and I through the years today and wedding/epics

Um...well I am desperately trying to conveince FH to give us a Military Wedding!! I WANT ONE SO BAD haha
What it is is- the Marine's stand in their dress blues (uniform) and hold swords so as the bride and groom walk out of church they go under the swords being held above their heads by the Marines. Then Before the get through the last 2 Marines standing on either side of the bride and groom they lower the swords and cross them in front of the bride and groom blocking them. The bride and groom kiss and then the Marines hit the bride on the butt with the sword and say 'welcome to the Marine Corp Family'
haha I think it is cute...plus I want FH to wear his uniform...he looks so handsome in it
Also FH is going to have a dance with his mother and his grandma as well. His grandma pretty much raised him so she wants to have a seperate dance as well!!

we are doing this too (i think!). Our DJ package includes someone coming to videotape the ceremony and then they play it on flat screens at some point (maybe during dinner) during the recepetion for those who might have missed it.
I was also thinking about getting a cigar roller as a surprise for my FH, but I think I am going to do something else now, my FH and his friends are obsessed with Manhattan Special (that coffee/soda concoction) so I am trying to get that to be served from a fountain at the bar.
Some other 'different' things that I am doing is a placecard 'tree', my florist is making this giant tree with our placecards hanging down from some sort of ribbon.
I want that too with my DJ videotaping everything and playing it back, is that called scrolling?? I will mention it to them.
Are you going to be doing a huge tree, what if youre having alot of guests , how are all the cards going to fit on the tree, will they be in ABC order![]()

Our wedding is in a mansion so the party will be all over the house. There are separate rooms like the cocktail hour will be in one room, then there is a dining room, another room is the ballroom, a parlor for sitting, then rooms upstairs. It will not be a traditional wedding where the entire reception is in a ballroom.
