Hi Ladies. We are going to drop off the money this week. FI is going w/out me to do so, I'll have him check out the bridal suite so I can let you guys know how big it is.
I can't believe I am getting married on Saturday. Today I am making dinner reservations, we are honeymooning in Barbados.

Id love to know if there are any other Weddings going on the night of my Wedding. I don't think any are from LIW. I asked a while ago and I didn't hear from anyone.

KarenB,
Oh good...I'm glad to hear about the champagne...
We're using a DJ recommended by the Swan Club (L&S Entertainment).
The DJ is going to play the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
I bought a CD of beautiful, classical wedding music which I'll want him to play for the 1/2 hour our guests are waiting for our ceremony to begin.
If you wouldn't mind sending me a FM with the price they quoted you for this and what they are including... I would be appreciative.

Re: Official Swan Club thread
Hi Swannies! Just wanted to let you knoe I checked out the bridal suites last night. They are on the small size compared to other halls, The suites are converted bedrooms, about 12 x 12 in size. there is a couch, a chair and a small desk in each room. the bathroom are large and have a stall shower in them, (just in case someone needs to be cooled out???? lol) Guess what Pavillion room users. The pavillon room now comes decorated with the tulle. It was up last night and they hand green hanging plants where each side draped. It looks beautiful!!! Our M'D John said they are using a new florist, and now they get the tulle for free instead of having to charge for it - it makes a BIG difference in the room!. P.S. anyone using it soon, check out the carpeting - it looked badly in new of shampooing. I voiced my concern and asked that it be cleaned before my big day, but you girls may want to do the same.

Re: Official Swan Club thread
SAG530,
That's GREAT news about the tulle - since we were going to pay $500 to have it added!
I noticed the carpeting in the Pavillion last time I was there and, yes, it needs a good cleaning!
At the time, I thought maybe it won't be noticed when covered with a white runner for the ceremony?
I'm definitely going to say something to them about it....

Re: Official Swan Club thread
I just called. I told them a 'fellow bride' told me the carpet was looking shabby. They told me they steam clean every couple of months. I said will this be done for my Saturday wedding, they said they would do their best.
Here's to clean carpet!

They told me the same thing about cleaning it every couple of months. I told they I hoped it was time to do it again, and even joked that I'd come with my steam cleaner and do it myself. II know I'm really picky, and I'm sure with the room totally set up you won't notice it that much, but if we can get it cleaned before our weddings why not? P.S. Karen - make sure your guest wipe there feet and don't spill anything on Saturday. I'll be checking the following week!

Thanks for the info Jen and Leslie :) It was very helpful and 60-80 sounds v. reasonable for such a nice place. Do I have enough time to book this place though? We are planning on going mid-June....is a year enough? When did you guys book?
Thanks! Julie

Re: Official Swan Club thread
We booked in July 2003 for October 2004.
We didn't go there with the intention of booking since it was the first place we looked at, but since we were so happy with it, we decided to book it while we were there!
May is a popular month - I wouldn't wait too much longer - especially if your heart is set on a certain date.
Can't wait to hear about your visit!

Re: Official Swan Club thread
I booked the Swan Club back in December for my July 2005 wedding (yes, a year and a half in advance. I'm an early bird!) I'm sure you still have time but go as soon as you can!
