Hi Vineyard Caterers girls! I know there's a few of us on here but there's not much of a VC presence on LIW so I wanted to start this thread. Who are the VC brides and what day are you getting married??
Hey there! Getting married on 9.20.08! My ceremony is at 3 pm (church) and my reception starts at 7 pm! Looking forward to hearing from other Vineyard Caterers Brides....

I know- I can't wait! I always hear such good things about the vineyard. I pass by there all the time (I live in the area), and it just makes me more excited for the day. I really hope we have some freakishly warm weather that day so I can have the ceremony outside.

I don't post here much but I am also a VC bride. I'm getting married there on 4/25/09. I love the idea of this thread because I'd love to share ideas of where people are doing what. I don't live on LI anymore and planning from afar is difficult so I'm looking forward to sharing ideas.

hey there VC bride! I'm also planning from out of state.... I'm in Philly now - we recently relocated. It's been difficult, but I'm sure it's been done from much farther away. where do you live?
Also, come join us on the 09 board!!

My one piece of advice for VC brides is to block your hotel rooms asap. My wedding isn't for another 7 months and already my block of rooms at Best Western and Holiday Inn Express are booked!!! And I cannot add on any more rooms because the hotels are SOLD OUT!!

One thing that you have on your side is that they are building another hotel right near the Tanger Outlets. I heard it's going to be a Hyatt or a Hilton. My piece of advice is to reach out to both BW and Holiday Inn and start the block. I did 20 rooms at both hotels and now they are completely sold out. I think i have ONE room left at the Holiday inn. My other piece of advice is that the Best Western only has one Bridal Suite and Holiday Inn only has a few 'Bridal' Suites. If you want them you should book them asap.

I just called Best Western and they're going to get back to me tomorrow. I called the Radisson and they have a 2 night minimum on our weekend!! OH NO! our guests probably won't be staying for 2 nights. i hope they aren't all like that - it's memorial day weekend!!!

do you know - if i start the block now with one and decide to go with another one, can i just cancel the rooms??

It's going to be a Hilton Garden Inn. It's coming along so far. It will probably be open by Memorial Day.
There's alot of BnB's in the area as well, so that's another option for guests too.

Yeah, I think so. The Holiday Inn Express blocked rooms for us at a special rate, and a month before the wedding, whatever is not booked they release to the public. I'm guessing that if you went in another direction, that they would just release the rooms.
