Congratulations to all VC brides on their choice! What a beautiful place!
I am still searching for a location..
Does anyone know VC's minimum guest count (if any) for Saturdays and/or Sundays? I can only do Saturday or Sunday, early September 2009. Thanks!!

I had to guarantee 100 guests for a Saturday afternoon. It's probably a bit higher for evenings. If you are looking to get married in 09 at VC, you'll want to give Bill a call ASAP! GL in your search!

I am also a Vineyard Caterers bride & I am so excited!!! I absolutely in love with the place. As for the hotel thing....i called a couple of places around there & one place gave us a 2 night minimum at $225/per night and the other was no night minimum but $205/per night. The best western was the least expensive at $189/per night....

I'm also using the Best Western, which seemed to be the cheapest around. But I blocked rooms at the Holiday Inn and Radisson. I know we will have a lot of OOT'ers!

I think rooms fill up quickly out there so blocking rooms was one of the first things I did after booking. I was sooo afraid of not having enough accommodations for our OOT guests.

My minimum for a Saturday night in October is 125!!
Is anyone else getting the Viennese Hour? Or had one or been to a wedding at the Vineyard that has had one??
I think I remember Bill telling me...that they set up the Viennese where the cocktail hour is...which would be nice....but do you think that the last hour of the wedding the reception room is going to clear out?? I'm confused as to how it works...

I just wanted to share with all the VC brides that my fiance and I went for our tasting this past weekend and everything was absolutely delicious!! Not only that, but everyone was so nice and always made sure we had what we needed. We can't wait to get married there! Just thought I'd pass it on. We are in good hands. :)

Oh that is SO nice to hear! Whenever I go there I feel like I'm going to visit family. Johnny is such a sweetheart. I can't wait until we do our tasting! What do you have left to do for your April wedding?

We've done all of the major stuff so it's mostly the little things and then of course all of the final appointments. We are ordering invitations this week. I had my hair and makeup trial last weekend. That, along with the tasting, made it all so much more real.
I agree, you do feel like family there...they are just so great to work with. I can't wait!

Oh that's terrific! It's so close now! I can't wait to see photos! Who are you using for hair and m/u? Are you getting ready near the Vineyard?

I am using Carolyn and Sabrina. I met them this weekend and they're so nice and fun. We are getting ready at the Holiday Inn where I've booked the bridal suite. I'm going to put my dress on at the vineyard and we're going to take pics before hand. It does seem like it's flying by now. The holiday will be over before we know it and then it's 2009!

Hi VC brides! Do you have suggestions on where we can go to take photos near VC the day of the wedding? The vines aren't full in May so photos at the Vineyard alone won't be quite enough for me. Is there a nice park nearby or anything? TIA for your suggestions!

Hello Everyone!
I'm a newbie on here and I too am a VC bride!! We are getting married 10/3/09 at 11:30am. So far we've booked our photographer and videographer (Duet-- we changed the date for them!!) and we booked our honeymoon a few weeks ago... I haven't looked into DJs, flowers, dresses, or anything else so if you have some advice I'd love to hear it!!
Thanks!!! Kelley

Hi Kelley! Welcome and congratulations! I'll add you to our VC list
I'm using Absolute Entertainment for DJ, MC, and CH guitarist. They are the house DJ and we saw them at our friend's wedding at Sunset Harbour and they were incredible! For flowers, I'm using Verbena Designs (located in Hicksville). Jennifer does amazing work with floral designs and she really works with your budget. There's a photo of my CP sample in my album. GL with the rest of your planning!

Thanks so much for your help!!! Verbena helping out with the budget is wonderful since FH and I are footing the whole bill ;) I have been told by a million people to go to Burton's but I when I was MOH in my MOH's wedding we got our dresses there and they were nasty, so I'm a little hesitant to go there...
We're really going to start w/ DJs this week-- since the holidays are practically over we have some time now!! I've been to Absolute's website and they seem great so I'll add them to my list!
I'm torn about what to do with Hair and Makeup since I'll be spending the night before out there but I have some time to figure it out ;)
Any new info I get I'll let you know!
Thanks and gl to you with your planning!!

I'm also staying the night before and I'm having my stylist come to the hotel the morning of to do our hair and makeup. I figure that's the easiest thing. I checked out Burton's and wasn't wow'ed by the person we met with. The prices were great and I've heard great reviews though!

Hey VC Brides,
You have nothing to worry about VC was amazing. I did have a DOC but that's because I was married at a church in Cutchogue and I had a very large bridal party that needed organization!
To add color in the room, we did have lighting throughout the room. We did a soft amber color. I also had new linens from Linen Creations as well as chair bows.
