**Official VINEYARD CATERERS thread**

Hey VC Brides,

Had an exciting weekend. FH and I drove out to see the priest at the church this weekend. We confirmed everything and it just feels SO real.

After that we went to do our tasting at the RH and all I can say is 'WOW!!!!!' Johnny the Maitre'D and Maryanne one of the servers took such amazing care of us. We started by sampling the sushi, this delicious bruschetta on a flatbread, my FAVE minicheeseburgers with french fries and then baby lambchops. Then we we sample some of the hot chafing dishes which included a seafood newburg, eggplant rollatine and then we had some chateaubriand. Then we finished off the tasting with some lemon sorbet in a real lemon!

We also got to Riverhead a bit early and stopped by the outlets and FH bought his tie for the wedding at Hugo Boss. I love his tie!!!!

Glad you had a great time, NapaValley! We went the weekend before, and we had a great time too - absolutely adore John!!

Question for you girls - when are you planning on arriving at VC on the day of (or for girls who got married, when did you arrive)?

Our ceremony started at 3:30. We got there between 12:45 and 1:00. They told us we could get there whenever we wanted because we were the only wedding that day. They were so accommodating and fed us while we hung around.

Hi there Ladies-

I need some help. I wanted to know who you guys are using for your hair and makeup. I have gone thru three trials and have not been successful. I am nervous having someone come to me in the hotel in case they are late or lost so I went to a salon in riverhead today and liked the hair but not the makeup. The makeup artist I loved decided Riverhead is too far (I am staying at the holiday inn express in Riverhead the night before and will most likely get ready there). So I needed some help and advice as far as who you girls are using or used and if you went to them or they came to you. I cant believe I havent found someone yet this is soo frustrating.

I used Mya from Cosmetic Artistry...she'a a vendor on here. She was awesome. She traveled to my parents house in Riverhead without a problem.

We are so excited!!! Getting married in five weeks and going to finalize everything next Sunday!!!

FH and I are 85% sure we are booking vinyard... this is our only concern. THE OUTDOOR COCKTAIL HOUR! We are in mid July and terrified it will be a hot swampy day and our guests will be melting in theie heavy tuxes and suits. Anybody else worry about this?

It's a possiblity but I think, if the weather is terrible, they keep the deck enclosed. There must be some air source in there.

We are the 25th of July and went this year on the exact date and were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too bad on the back deck- we are having our ceremony outside too.. so that was a big thing for me- I don't want to be dripping sweat during my ceremony! I think that just as long as you're at night, you should be fine!

Jenn, you're so close! Tell us what's left!!

Hi I know I can't believe how close we are!!! I'm so excited and a little overwhelmed right now! We still have to pay all the vendors, pick up my dress and his tux, write out place cards and about a million other things. Thanks for asking. I will be sure to post lots of pics and a review shortly after the wedding.

How's planning going for all you other VC brides?

Hey VC girls! I made a separate post for this but realized I should probably just ask on this one. Are you using the directions from VC's website for your direction cards? If not, what directions are you using? I know guests don't even bother using the directions from the invitation, but I have a lot of OOT'ers so I'm not sure how vague the directions should be.
