Officially Booted

Well after my trouble bm didn't show up yesterday for my shower that was the final draw. After showing no interest and complete lack of involvement in not only the shower but my entire wedding planning, she is not only out of the wedding but out of my life! You would think that a friend of 22 years would show a little more excitement and a little more involvement but I guess that's selfish of ME to think that. Anyway, fortunately I asked another friend to fill in and although I felt awkward asking like she was an after thought she graciously agreed. THAT is a real friend. Maybe now the drama is over since she was the only drama I had to date in all my planning.

Sorry just needed to vent.

That is horrible and I am sorry but I least now you know what kind of person she is and now that you other freind agreed hope everything is smoothed from here on out :)

I def think she was jealous. My matron of honor left halfway through my wedding. We didn't have any issues that I know of but she seemed disinterested in my shower, bachelorette party etc. She was engaged for a long time and as soon as I got engaged and set a date she started planning her wedding and chose a date a month and a half before me so she could say she got married first. All I can think of is jealousy.

I definitely think it was jealousy. Throughout our friendship I gave 150% to her while I got back maybe 25%. Looking back at it now I always accepted her for who she was knowing she was selfish but now that I have someone in my life I can't dedicate that kind of time to her and I don't think she likes it. There were many things over the years that no friend should have accepted but I did. Not anymore. I have to say once the friendship was officially over, I was truly relieved opposed to being upset over losing a 22 year friendship. That should say something right there. lol

No she actually lives in CT. I texted her as soon as I got home from my shower and asked her why she didn't come to the shower (although I already knew she wasn't coming) and she was trying to make up excuses. And I knew they were excuses. She tried to call me to BS her way out of it but I wouldn't take her call because honestly I didn't feel like getting upset or into a screaming match with her. So I told her I didn't want to talk right now and she then gave me an ultimatum. Then she changed her mind and said 'never mind I decided for myself. F off and have a nice life.' So that was that.

What a *****. Good riddance. You'll be better off without that 'friend'
