Officially Dr. FloridaGal!

Hi guys! I have totally been missing in action for a few months with the last bit of school, but great news: My FH and I graduated this Sunday!

The bad news is that I am 12 days away from my wedding I haven't done anything for it in months! I haven't picked a cake, don't have a rehersal dinner planned, don't have a place to get my nails done (or my pre-wedding spa day I wanted), my honeymoon isn't completely done (because we are still going to Cancun and I haven't figured out yet if I don't want to go), haven't finalized a centerpiece, don't have a playlist, didn't make placecards, programs, or menus, have no seating arrangement and I don't have a headpiece!

Oh and I'm fighting with my future in-laws now too, so I have nowhere to stay in NY when I come up!

I'm a little overwhelmed right now, so if you guys have any encouragement it would be great.

I'm not officially a crasher yet because my date is still Oct.24,2009 until I talk to my Banquet manager to change it. BUT CONGRATS ON A JOB WELL DONE....You and FH have alot on your plate right now. I would def. hire a DOC. Lisa from Elite Affairs I heard is awesome. I spoke with her and she is so sweet. She also does menus, placecards and the works and is very creative so I would use her services especially for the items that you need done in such short time and to calm you down and help you to enjoy your day. It will be just perfect.

COngrats to you and FH on these two huge milestones in your life!!!! May is an AWESOME MONTH FOr YOU BOTH.

Congrats on graduating!!! OK, coming from someone who is OCD...here is my advice....now it is time to compartmentalize. Put everything into lists and compartments, the most 'immeidate/urgent' first. It may seem overwhelming now, but when you make lists you can check things off as you go. Tackle one thing at a time! Good luck!

FH and I just graduated this past wknd as well (Med/Dent), so first of all, congrats! Although my wedding is 7 days after yours, I can completely understand what you are going through! I second the idea of hiring a DOC. I think I would be much more stressed out , with moving and an OOT wedding, at this point if I hadn't. Although I am up at 3am

COngrats!!!! Dont worry everything will fall into place.

If you decide to change the HM look into Belize (Ambergris Caye) I was there for my HM and there were are few couple who changed their HM last minute from Mexico. I know they were running good airfare specials and the Belize govt is doing so much to keep the Swine Flu out. They do not have a single case (as of the time I left last week) and I think that is amazing seeing they border with Mexico.

Write it down, make a list.

Instaed of being in a panic, write it down. That way you can have a plan of attack and take stuff off the list!

I'm getting married at the Harbor Club in Huntington. It is a Sunday afternoon wedding, so my RD is suppossed to be a Saturday night. I am so screwed!

For the RD, try calling Piccola Bussola in Huntington...they are family style, so should be able to accomodate you.

MY FH is dead set against hiring a DOC, but I would love one! He says it is stupid to pay someone to do something we can do ourselves. So again I'm kind of screwed.
