Re: Officiant....

I had sticker shock when it came to officiants, especially because I only want a 10-15 min ceremony. Nothing custom or anything.
Actually wound up reading you can contact Town Hall Clerks office and they can fax you a list of officiants that can only charge $75.00.
This does not work in all towns. I'm getting married in Islip and I have been in contact with one already
Good luck

Meet with Rev. Nick this past weekend and we thought he and his wife were great. We booked him. His info is on this site.

Forget Pastor April. She is booked through 2012. I'd go with the town clerk idea. We ended up using a friend of a friend who we recently elected to the supreme court for nassau county.

Hi. I didn´t want anything religious and I found a girl who does party planning and is also an officiant. I know that at the time she was interested in focusing more on the party planning side of it but she may still be willing to do it. I don´t remember the exact price but it was way cheaper than anyone else that I found. Her name is Julissa. If anyone is interested I can try to find her info.

We booked with him, too! FH & I saw great reviews from his weddings and luckily enough he was at the top of the list of recommended Fox Hollow officiants :)

Rev Nick is also a Watermill officiant so I pay the Watermill's price, not sure what he charges, sorry. If you wanted to check out some of the reviews, look on wedding wire.

Judge Emily Pines... She doesnt accept payment & only asks that you make a donation to a charity of your choice.

I know for a fact that she has dates still available in 2012. We actually just booked with her not long ago and she was available for us. I would definitely still give her a call. She may end up being wide open on your date for all you know and you'll be missing out on an amazing woman to marry you. I can't speak highly enough about her. She calls just to check in on me and my fiancé and to see how the planning is going. She is amazing and seems to really understand us, without even really knowing us fully yet. Please give her a call at least. It couldn't hurt. HTH, good luck!!!
