Hi all--If you wouldn't mind me asking--how much can I expect an officiant to charge for a civil ceremony held at the reception location? I just want to know if I'm in la-la land with my expectations.

Ours charged $450 total. But its a very unique ceremony...we picked it all out. Its about 30 min long.

So is $300 for 30 mins good? Do I have to feed the officiant too?

A friend of mine got married at the CC hall and their officants stayed for the cocktail hour but did not have the sit down meal so they did not have to pay for them.

No, ours is only staying for the cocktail hour also. They told us that they dont know anyone there so they dont like to stay.
