Hi Girls, I am way over budget and am trying to figure out approx how much the officiants usually charge. We are getting married at a hotel, not a church. We don't know any pastors personally or belong to a congregation. TIA!! Nicole

Go to your county and ask them for a list of judges who perform wedding ceremonies. Mine is $75 and my friend got hers for free(she gave the judge $100)

I'm getting married at a church, and they don't call it church fees, but you do pay the singer/organist. The rest is called church upkeep.
I'm paying $475, which is supposed to include tip

Well, we are getting married in our church (the one we made all of our sacraments in and the one we go to regularly) and are making a 'donation' of $675!
I think you'll be able to find an officiant much cheaper than that.

We are getting married byt he priest who did my baptism, communion, and confirmation. Same church too. They ask for a donation of anything (and this church really means ANYTHING...not like some churches who say a 'donation' of $500..how is that a donation??)...so I think we are going to give $300
