Officiant suggestions??

Officiant suggestions??

Hey ladies :) I would really appreciate your help...

My fiancee and I originally thought we were going to get married in a church but after much back and forth we decided it's best to get married at the venue instead. Even though we're getting married at the venue we still want the ceremony to be more on the traditional side.

So my question is, does anyone have recommendations for officiants who specialize in religious or more traditional ceremonies? How far in advance do you recommend booking the officiant?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Try pastor April or rev deb. Both are so nice and highly recommended. April was booked for our date but suggested deb and we loved her. You can customize how you want your ceremony to be (whether it's religious, non religious, or somewhere in between) We booked her in October for our August wedding.

Look into Keith at ny marriages. He's our officiant and can also customize depending on how religious you want ceremony to be.

We are using Reverend Lynn Sullivan - she's a full time associate pastor at the Garden City Community Church (a United Church of Christ church). FH and I were actually looking for a church 'home base' to call our own, especially when we have a child. I went to a few services there and just fell in love with Reverend Sullivan. She's just so sweet, and smiley, and easy going......and travels to venues all the time to do weddings.

Helen at ADA photography (one of the vendors at EW) is a licensed officiant, I noticed this when we went to pick up the copy of our contract. East Wind might be able to give you a list as well. I got one because I am part of the all inclusive.

I have the list if you want it, I just don't have access to it right this second. FM me if you want me to send you the info.

I was actually going to start a topic about this. I have been meaning to start looking into officiants and my question is, do you meet with every possible officiant? Or do phone meetings first?? We live out of state so it's hard to make multiple appointments for one day & it would usually have to be a Saturday. Any advise is appreciated!!

My FH has a niece getting married in May who is using Pastor April from ADA. She really likes her.

I haven't met with our officiant in person but we are having a basic ceremony. If you're out of state you can see if officiant will do face time or Skype with you.

A lot of the officiants I contacted have meetings during the week because weekends are booked up with weddings also.
