Starting to look for an officiant, we would like someone who is non-denominational, we are not religious and therefore do not want religious references in our ceremony. Also looking for someone reasonable($$$), if possible. Thanks for all of your help so far.

Re: Officiants
Hi- We're using Reverend April from the Church of Ancient Ways. She posts on the vendor boards.
The Reverend title threw me off a little in the beginning, but now I am completely fine with it. April is a wonderful woman who will help you write your ceremony to YOUR liking. If you want in nondenominational (like us), then that's exactly what it will be.
As for prices, I'm not exactly sure of her fee, because we went with a package at the Historical Chapel, but I don't think she is outrageous (compared to what I've seen some officiants charge).
If you have any questions...ask away! Good luck!

Re: Officiants
We were looking for the exact same thing-we are using a representative from the ethical humanist society. You can get more info online at www.ehsli.org Our ceremony is going to be almost like a civil ceremony-no religious references, etc. We had a very hard time finding a justice of the peace and so far, this society has been awesome to work with. Best of luck to you!!

Re: Officiants
We are using Rev Joe...we are able to put together our entire cermeony which is nice...I think using an officiant gives you that freedom so it probably comes down to who you are comfortable with.... here is their website... Rev Joe
