OK so i know my FSIL is gonna be pissed because I planned my own Bachelorette Party...but I wanted to do it. MY MOH and her dont really know my friends and I wanted to have a party at my brothers cabin upstate with a bunch of my girlfriends...and go to a day spa upstate. She wanted us to go to AC. Well I went ahead and made invites...sent her one too...I will keep you informed lol I just think its my party darn it and I want to do what I want to do.

I fought and fought with my BM and MOH about this too. I don't like surpries, they aim to please themselves and embarrass me and I am just not up for that. Don't get me wrong, they are all amazing, BUT....
MOH wanted to take stripper dance lessons and perform at Score then go to another stirp joint.

Other BM wanted to get limo and tool around manhattan picking up guys for themselves, because bachlorette parties are a great way to meet men!?!?!? I am serious.....
I had to bow out, these broads scare me. lol

I planned my entire bachelorette party from start to finish. We are going to Las Vegas August 14th through 18th. I picked the flights, booked the hotel, made dinner reservations, etc. I am positive that I will have a great time, if I dont, its my fault, because I planned it!

There really shouldn't be any drama. First of all, you're the bride and it should really be what you would like to do. And, if anything, typically the MOH would initiate any plans. It's not about what she wants. She can go to AC whenever she likes. Hope everything goes nicely for you!

well, at least it'll be what you want! I gave my sister some suggestions because she wants to do Vegas but I'm not that into Vegas which everyone thinks is nuts because they all love the place.
I think she'll get over it

I wish I thought of that! I let my MOH plan it and it ******. She brought me to a strip joint, had me put on stage so the guys can grope me, got me lapdances etc.
I know that some people like it but for me it wasn't fun and I spent the entire night miserable.

Aww. My friends aren't really into it either at this point. But I made it clear I don't want or need any of that. Besides, I don't want them spending their money on it anyway. That's messed up...they really should've taken your feelings more into consideration.

I planned mine too. I talked to my sister / MOH about it all along - she had actually had the idea of going on the one-night cruise to nowhere before I did but said she didn't think the dates worked out - so in essence she came up with the idea first. And yeah, I could have given her the email addresses of my friends and had her do it, but she has a baby and it's just easier for me to do it.
I think if you're one of those 'I'd rather do it myself to make sure it gets done right' people - like I am - it's NO BIG DEAL. My mom kept telling me I shouldn't have planned it myself. I asked my sister, she didn't care.

I didn't plan mine, but my girls asked me what I wanted to do and I told them what I would 'like' to do...and it went from there. I'm totally content with a 'spa day'. Well, we're going to stay overnight at Norwich Inn. I just love going there and it's something we'll all enjoy! We'll also enjoy a nice dinner with some wine. I'm so looking forward to it...I can't wait!
