oh boy...was I confused!
I registered. I mean - need I say more.It was like shopping in Japan. I had very little idea what anything was, but I forged ahead! I basically scanned everything figuring I could update it all when I figure out what I really need.....
I do have a few questions if ya'll don't mind...
Has anybody purchased the Peg Perego Infant Car Seat? Do you suggest Graco Snugride over that?
And what kind of bottles does everybody like? How do you know what will work for your baby? I am planning on breastfeeding and pumping....
Thanks guys!

Jenny, dont worry there will come a time when ALL YOU KNOW is baby-stuff and you will have no idea about what the new fashion trends and music is out.
If you do searches (on this site) and look up certain words 'car seat' or 'register' we've had tons of posts where you might find good info.
youre doin great girlie !

I'm sure I will be lost when I have to register for all that baby stuff too. How do you first time mom's know what to get and which ones are best?

Re: oh boy...was I confused!
a good resource is first of all- any mommies in your family and friends circle. Maybe a friend can come and register with you!Second- 'baby bargains' be dennis and I think Alan Fields...very practical...
also look up reviews of products on line at epinions.com

Re: oh boy...was I confused!
I registered for the Graco Snugride, since it works with the Graco stroller- but both get great reviews.I am a Playtex Nurser bottle fan so I registered for those. I like the whole 'pushing the air' out concept. They worked great for my friends. But like most people say, you might have to go thru a few bottles or nipples to find ones that your baby likes.
Where did you register?

Re: oh boy...was I confused!
Jenny ... first off ... registering without the Baby Bargains book would have been like (exactly as you said!) navigating a foreign country! I'll get you the link for purchase at buy.com for $10. Best money you ever spent.I registered for the Peg perego Pilko with the infant car seat. But I don't think I'll keep the infant carrier. I'll probably go with the Graco Snug ride (after some research ... I wasn't happy with the ratings) & use a universal adaptor rather than the stroller. I like the way this allows you more flexability in choices between brands.
For bottles .. I feel like its pretty personal. From everything that I'm hearing, you'll go through a few trying to find the one brand that baby likes best. I probably won't stress this for the registry for that reason.
But definitely get the book ... itll save you a lot of aggravation!

Re: oh boy...was I confused!
Jenny, I registered for the Primo Viaggio after getting opinions from friends and checking Comsumer Reports. Give me 7 weeks and I'll let you know how it works out.
As for bottles, my friends recommended Avent and Dr. Browns, so I registered for and got both. I guess it's up to the Lima Bean (who I guess is closer in size to a medium sized pumpkin than a lima by now!) to decide which he/she prefers.
