'Oh, but you have plenty of time!' Uh, what?!

Original post by Kara and Todd

Okay, whenever I talk about the wedding to certain people, they all tell me, 'Oh, but you have so much time before the wedding.' As you can imagine, none of these people is married!

Seriously, while 3.5 months used to seem like SO MUCH TIME, in the world of wedding planning, it really isn't!

Or am I just nuts?! I feel like there really isn't much time left and SO many things to do!

Am I the only one who (1) gets told this repeatedly and (2) feels like those saying it are nuts (if well meaning)?

I mean, yes, it's a lot of time to say... make programs... but not when you have 50 other things you also have to do (uh, like pick out a veil!)

ETA - This is all in good fun. I know the wedding isn't around the corner, but it's SOON... and I don't think people realize how much planning and time is required... Not to mention the fact that FH and I work a LOT, so we do all the wedding stuff either late at night or on the weekends...

I REALLY don't have much time However, my boss said the same thing to me the other day and I wanted to strangle her (she is very single by the way ) There are so many little things that are seeming to pop up and I'm starting to get a bit stressed

I'm with you dplehat , i'm trying to get better about it though. All my friends are saying i've got to get it together (yes, I know I have more than a year) but i'm like 'Oh, i've got time.' Then again alot of them aren't married nor in long term relationships so I think there is a bit of vicarious living going on...LOL.

I'm just trying to get through the e-party...one thing @ a time!!

it's never to early to start planning! I have about a year to go but why wait? right now everyone we want is free. I would be so upset if I really loved a makeup artist, or something like that and they were booked. it's better to plan now so we have all options. my fhs friend is still upset they didn't get the wedding date they wanted, and they were married last year.
