Gosh darnit all to heck.......it's snowing like a mo fo here. I guess it beats the pouring rain.

Rainmama, how do you like living in Maine? I've never been there but I always think of it as being just a beautiful, peaceful place and a great place to live.

Maine is a very peaceful and wonderful place to live. I've lived here my entire life and I find it very hard to even fathom the idea of moving out of state. I highly recommend that you visit! This state has a lot of beauty to offer!

not sure if its anywhere near... but i used to vacation in Ocean Park every year when i was younger. Near Old Orchard Beach.
I LOVED it and i plan on FH and i doing it sometime!!
I love Portland too. I just love New England, period! My dad used to live in Salem, MA. I know its bad, but i wish he stayed there!!! I loved visiting

Do you know what part of NE?? The one thing with maine, despite it's natural beauty, is the lack of jobs and income. And the taxes, my word, are the highest in the country! It's very hard to make a decent living here. And for this reason, we may have to move in a few years.

OOB is about an hour from where I live now. But I was born and lived in Portland up until 2 years ago. Oh, how I miss it!! It's just unbelievably expensive! Actually, you'd probably believe it living in NY!!!

I didn't know that Maine taxes are so high!

As for NE, I've always liked Massachusetts a lot. And Vermont. I've gotta get to Maine sometime and check it out!

I'm the same way... i love being near the ocean! I wouldn't be able to live in a landlocked state. (or too far from beach)

My dream is to have a house right on or walking distance from the water. I love the salt air.
You could smell it in Salem. mmm it was so nice.
