I am so sad right now. I've worked so hard and so fast and now it's all for nothing if it rains. We cannot fit everyone in the house, and even a 40x20 tent would not be big enough with the food the bar, and ALL of the kids. I don't know what we are going to do,I've been crying since I saw the forecast I guess that's what I get for trying to plan an outside wedding in September. This just ***** so much I know I wasn't going to have some extravagant affair, but is is the ONE and ONLY wedding I'm am ever going to have and now it's going to be ruined. It can't rain, it just can't. I worked to hard and It means to much to me. I don't know what to do.

Re: Oh God.. it's going to rain on the 15th
It's the 6th. The weather forecast for the 15th is about as accurate as the forecast for 9/15/2008.
STOP worrying about things you cannot control. Seriously - it's 10 days away. RELAX.
Whether it's a week before or an hour before, you CANNOT and will never be able to change the weather. Deal with the things you can actually control and leave mother nature to do -- well, exactly what she's going to do whether you waste 9 days worrying about it or not.
ETA - Up until 48 hours before my wedding day the forecast said thunderstorms. It was 82 with no humidity and sunny. RELAX!
All you are doing by worrying about this and getting so upset over it is ruining the days before your wedding with additional stress. The worst and least healthy form of stress is stress over things you cannot control. Don't live your last 9 days as a single woman under that kind of stress. The weather will be what the weather will be. Maybe it'll be perfect - maybe it'll be a crazy day. Either way, it'll be a memorable, wonderful day.

It is way too soon to know what the weather will be like on the 15th...give it some time and dont stress... they only really know what it is going to be like the day before... and even then they are usually wrong. Be patient.

Don't make yourself sick over things you can't control. Just enjoy your day no matter what the weather. I have seen BEAUTIFUL pics of brides on their not so dry wedding days, so don't worry. Besides, you have FH there with you, he should be your sunshine no matter what the weather!
Good luck!

Calm down it will all work out. They said it was going to rain for my wedding also. But guess what it didn't it was nice and cool not even as humid as we thought it would be and very sunny. I got the beach shots I wanted.
Wait until next week and look not know it is too soon.

Re: Oh God.. it's going to rain on the 15th
Im about to make another post about this.
yesterday I was FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEAKING out b/c weather.com said it was going to SHOWER on Sept 14th with 60% chance of precip.
Today, it says SUNNY with 0% ... not even PARTLY cloudy. JUST SUNNY.. with that big ol' SUN icon
right now, you cant really tell.

As long as you stay dry, don't worry about everyone else. they will manage! it will be a great day for you and all your guests.
Rain can actually be very pretty sometimes, so even if it does rain, maybe there will be a rainbow!
We went to a wedding and it poured, but it looked so cool outside that everyone was glued to the window! and, there was a beautiful sunshower during the ceremony. The rain actually made her wedding even more memorable.
That said, I will still cross my fingers and toes for dry weather for you...or at the very least, a cool looking rain.

But my wedding is OUTSIDE!!! If I was having an indoor wedding it wouldn't really bother me, but it is outside and I don't have any where for the guests to go if it rains.

If it does rain, between the tent and your house, maybe you will have more space than you think you will. also, do you have a driveway? maybe you can set up a tent there too.
i agree with everyone else....the forecast is never accurate until you get closer to the day. even then, it's not always spot on.

That doesn't change the fact that you can't control the weather. Make some provisions so you're prepared, but you cannot - and will never be able to - control the weather.
RELAX. A 10 day forecast is NOT ACCURATE. It's too far out.
Many brides on here had outside weddings, too. Trust me, my forecast until 2 days before was rain and it was beautiful.
If you can plan for the possibility of rain, do so - but just being upset and stressing out over won't do you any good!

That's the problem there really isn't anything I can do Even if having a few more tents would help, we can't afford anything anymore.

Ohhhh......I'm so sorry. I didn't realize the full picture when I told you about that indoor wedding. I am sure it will work out. Try and focus on what you need to do b/w now and next week, and check the forecast again then. the weatherman is just about always wrong!

Then if it rains, you may wind up with people in your house. It'll be crazy, crowded, and still a wonderful day.
RELAX. No one is lying to you - the 10 day forecasts are generally not accurate.

Re: Oh God.. it's going to rain on the 15th
who knows?
my wedding is on the 15th.
i have been monitoring the weather obsessively for the last few days.
it has gone from rain --> partly cloudy --> scattered showers --> sunny.
it stresses the willies out of me...I think Mother Nature and the weathermen want me to have a stroke.
