OH man, I think I made a mistake!

My FH hates his sister, and last night I heard them screaming at the top of their voices downstairs. I am thinking that I shouldn't have asked her to be a BM. Their relationship makes me so uncomfortable. I am not close to her, but she is a nice person. She's just lazy is all.

I'm just venting.

Nothing sucks more than when you try to do a good thing it blows up in your face. I had a situation where my best friend of about 8 years was asked to be a BM in my wedding and she said yes. Then she decided not to show up for the BM dress shopping. Haven't heard from her since and that was back in August! And she has always been alittle flaky so I was always a little skeptical about asking. And go figure it wound up blowing up right in front of me.

But, your situation is different. You are dealing with family and family tends to give in easier. I'm sure she will snap into things. But maybe instead of waiting for her to offer help why don't you just assigning tasks? But don't come off bossy. Just go along the lines of 'I don't have a chance to stop by the bridal shop to pick up swatches for the florist, can you do it for me' Maybe that will help her get into gear?
