Because they can market her in more ways than the other guy. I haven't watched the show, but I will bet that's exactly why. And it's totally NOT 'America' who decides. This is another WHATEVA moment tonight!

I'm sooo shocked!!! I thought BO was a shoo in. What happened?????? Did I miss something? I turned to it at the last moment to see Carrie singing and thanking America.

I wanted Bo to win! I tell ya i think its fixed they pick the winners they want not the audience or the people who call simon makes the final decision I am not Watching American Idol again.

while I certainly think Carrie was better than Bo last night, I think Bo is more of a performer and was generally better.

I hope they can teach her to sing without the teleprompter and actually move on that stage.

Honestly I think the second place winner does better anyway- look at Clay Akian. If I was a true rocker, I wouldn't want to be the ' American Idol' anyway.

I find all the american idols to be conforming, typical pop people who fade into oblivion (except for maybe kelly - she's doing decently). I honestly don't see Bo conforming to the demands and image of American Idol. He's going to be a success, and I will buy his CD the day it comes out.
