I was adding stuff to my registry last night and....... i noticed my Swarovski crystal picture frame was gone and a vera wang crystal bowl to mach my crystal was gone (i really didn't think anyone would by that frame for $$$$ because it is so tiny)
also the other day i got a package from fortunoff and i opened it... it was a hand mixer
i know the girls did not send out invites to my shower yet because i just sent them the list yesterday

These could be wedding gifts. I started receiving wedding gifts in March of 04 for my May 04 wedding.

well the hand mixer is from someone out of town who said she would send me a gift she was here and gave me a cookbook and a few little things but i think it was an engagement gift we are still getting engagement gifts off our registry...i can't believe it it says on it many of them say congrats on your engagement
the frame and bowl we hvae not received

I just had this happen to me...I noticed my vera wang bowl was gone and then a few days later it came in the mail. It was from FH's BM...but his parents had already sent us two place settings of our china. The card said congrats on the wedding....so here i was wondering if it was an engagement gift or a wedding gift!!!!! I had FH call BM...engagement gift although if it WAS a wedding gift I cerainly wouldn't have minded...it was more than generous!!!!

well, I'd say since you got engaged awhile ago, it's not an engagement gift.
So, I'd say it's either a shower gift or a wedding gift.
Even though you just gave out the shower list, many women who are close to you will know that your shower is coming up and that they'll be invited.
My mom told me that my cousin's wife sent the shower gift before the invites were even mailed.
edited to add: DH's cousin had an eparty, bridal shower, and wedding all within 3 months. So, while shopping off her registry for the e-party gifts, I also bought her shower gifts and kept them in the car until her bridal shower. So, maybe someone else did some combo shopping.
I had 2 women buy shower gifts and wedding gifts before my shower. And, they sent me the wedding gifts right before the wedding.
